Күн бұрын

During this video I go over the various ways to track and the different effect different positions have on the way you move through the air.
This is not intended to be a complete tutorial on how to track, but more of a debrief that I give some extra insight on the how and why we fly in different tracking positions.
Everything in this video is opinion and experienced based. Please feel free to add different opinions and corrections for the video below in the comments section. I am very open minded and happy to discus other techniques and ways to fly. Please keep all comments constructive so others can learn form your experience as well.

I'm working my way through your videos so you might of done this already but a video on how to plan a TR1 skydive would be handy for all those in the UK learning TR1. It's part of the syllabus. Thanks for the upload dude, very helpful, as always! 🙌😎

Great video as always! Really like this beginner tracking video! Any tips for staying close to Coach? I can’t seem to maintain proximity throughout the whole jump.
@downunderdynamics
@downunderdynamics 2 жыл бұрын
No worries, yep generally this is caused because most people need to slow their mind down. The excitement of something new and also the adrenaline of danger makes us move and react a lot quicker. Slowing the mind and giving smaller inputs make a massive difference. If you can get there its not a control issue as you already got there. It would be more of a fine tuning issue. Watch your thoughts when you are flying, when you start noticing/watching the thoughts that happen before a reaction that is consistent, then you can crack what to do to fix the issue.

Great video! I too am new to the sport with 47 jumps! Hoping to learn every jump! Question I have, isn't the adjustment of the "head down" going to force a more vertical, but not so much a horizontal dive? I've been trying to learn more "free flying" only my "transitions" seem to be lacking something?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Blue Skies 😊
@downunderdynamics
@downunderdynamics 11 ай бұрын
Yes and no. If you tip your head too much you will go over, but if you tip it just a bit it will allow you to stay on an angle and creat forward movement through the sky. you have to adjust with the rest of the body as well.

Hello! I did my first tandem jump not long ago and I still have to do my AFF training (next month). I watched a lot of AFF training videos. But do you recommend me watching videos of more experienced people (like this guy with 50 jumps) ? I don't want to get a false sense of confidence but I'm also very eager to start flying! Thanks for the video!

Watch and learn everything u can is my advice, u will see a range of good and bad stuff. Take everything with a grain of salt and just absorb the info
@lucasgraham505

Reading through comments and saw yours. I just finished AFF had 3 jumps i had to retake. 2 that left me shook afterwards. Best basic advice is if you get out of control do your best to arch and relax. And just keep going back regardless of how much a bad jump left you feeling uneasy. It's 100% worth pushing through the nerves of a bad jump!

Awesome video bro. Im an Aus based jumper. I’ve been struggling controlling my angle whilst tracking in a tracking suit. Are the same principles applicable to a tracking suit? Looking forward to trying these techniques clean skin at least. See you at Xmas boogie 🤘
@downunderdynamics
@downunderdynamics Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, They are similar but you won't get anywhere if you are arching in the tracking suit. you wanna fly it a bit steeper so the inlets fill up properly, if you fly flat you will propas heaps, if you feel this then steepen your body a bit, it will then smooth out. just tip it over a little at a time until you feel it pick up stability and speed. the widening and narrowing will control your speed.

Brilliant video, I’m new and want to learn about control for tracking. I’m also interested in the cause of deaths. If you know, could you tell me about the percentage and causes of deaths from skydiving 🪂 - I can only assume collisions, poor landing, and [ I’d hope to a lessor degree] incorrectly packed chutes. Thanks in advance and I appreciate the video man
@downunderdynamics
@downunderdynamics 2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. I've got some on the channel about controls. ill be doing some more in the future too tho. Unfortunately I don't know the exact percentage. I have had a bunch of friends go. But its a lot from canopy accidents and landings. The freefall is generally pretty safe, generally. Usually its when people loose awareness of their surroundings due to over stimulation, stress, over confidence and distraction.
