There's another way into Whiterun. Punch the guard at the gate and get arrested. Apparently criminals get special treatment over traders and travellers.

I never understood the lockdown of Whiterun because of a Dragon Attack. Do they think that a Dragon is going to knock on the front gate or something?

The Grelod thing happened to me during my first ever playthrough. I was in Riften to find an "appraiser" for my Stones of Barenziah, walked into Honourhall on complete accident, saw the way Grelod treated the children in her care, walked up to her, and beheaded her with a greatsword. It was extremely satisfying and I laughed my ass off at the "I knew the Dark Brotherhood was good, but not THAT good" line.

Did you know that you can start a THIEVES GUILD AND RIFTEN GUARD WAR! Once you join the thieves guild you have to attack a guard inside Riften, then you have to run around inside Riften and get as many guards to chase you as possible. After that, you must run to the ragged flagon through the graveyard entrance. From there you can merely observe the ensuing battle, or choose to help your guild friends. It is really fun, and it unlocks some unique dialog from the survivors (they get get really pissed at you.)

For the Louis Letrush one, I did that one a few days ago and randomly found Maven and told her everything. She also deals with Sibbi and removes him from his rather nice and fancy jail cell, into the much rather bleak and empty one next to it.

I’m CONTINUALLY BAFFLED by the amount of secrets, possibilities and things to find in Skyrim. Even after all these years. Just wow.

I actually killed Grelod before even before going to Windhelm. I was just passing by ane thought might aswell kill Grelod. But anyway if the Dark brotherhood really cares about that contrack they should have taken care of the in the last 4 months I was ignoring it. Not to mentions how easy it is and there isnt even a bounty for doing it. They really bad at their profession

Hey nate, I don't think you've covered this one yet. When you go to kill the previous champion of boethia to retrieve the ebony mail, when you use emperor's call or pacify spell, the previous champion will have a unique dialogue. Try it out

You can pickpocket Aela for the key to Whiterun and if you go fast enough you can skip the guard and get into the city.

7:45 you may have covered it but you don’t even have to kill Grelod by your own hand (for those really good players). You can do this by getting Edda the female beggar in Riften to attack Grelod. Apparently there is some lore to this where Edda has ill intentions against Grelod but I have yet to find it in game. The only time I’ve managed to get this unique event is when I cast a fear spell on Grelod, causing her to run outside in which Edda ran up and killed her. This can either happen in the backyard of the orphanage or out in the marketplace.

Hey Nate, love the Skyrim content! I found a tiny detail that you may be interested in. In the dawnguard dlc, should you align with the dawnguard, during the quest "Kindered Judgement" where you and Serana confront Lord Harkon, he will accuse you of turning his daughter against him. You'll be given a dialogue menu. If you exit the menu without responding, you'll unlock a unique line from Harkon that says "Little time for talk? Good. Let's end this!" And begin attacking you.

Funny thing. I thought i had done a perfect Skyrim run and done everything, but when i started a new game, i found an inn i had never seen or heard before. Soon i was doing a small sidequest to get an ghost his friends sword. I was so hyped to find something completyle new to after 3 years.

Fun fact: if you use an alternate start mod to begin as a Stormcloak or Imperial soldier you also start with those dialogue options, which is fantastic for roleplayers like myself who make dedicated character types that have specific motives and behaviors. It's become my standard answer for any soldier I decide to make, regardless of whichever side they're on, and followed by the jarl requesting you investigate the dragons first before he listens to you, which also makes sense if you're playing as a soldier, and not a prisoner who escaped Helgen.

For #3 the same thing happens with the Movarth quest and Alva. If you sneak and steal the journal while she's asleep, she'll run to Movarth's Lair and be an extra villain in the lair.

I used to be an adventurer, but then i took an arrow to the knee. Then i got back up and killed an evil dragon. Then i fell off a cliff. Then ate some netch jelly and lived. THEN i typed "` tcl" and went through a wall. Then the game crashed because i had a crazy graphics mod on.

I can't remember if this is in a previous video, but after the mythic dawn museum is up in dawnstar there is a piece of paper(when walking into the museum it's in a display case in the left corner) if you unlock the display case and use the fire spell on it then the paper turns into a bucket. It's great.

Did you know that there is yet ANOTHER way of entering Whiterun. Assuming you have a decent pickpocketing skill; you can just steal the gate key from one of the guards and enter in that way

Adding on to that first one. The jarl won't let you continue with the civil war mission until the dragon problem is solved

Last time I was this early, Skyrim was monumental.

When Astrid kidnaps you after killing Grelod, you have the option to kill any of the three people there. You get different dialogue depending on which one, which two, or even all three that you kill. You can also attack Astrid instead, which unlocks the quest "Destroy the Dark Brotherhood" and you can either leave the people in the shack or free them once Astrid is dead.

Umm Nate? I think your repeating some old facts. I believe you have already discussed in a previous video that you can kill Grelod the Kind early and unlock special dialogue from Aventus

If memory serves you can also steal frost after warning maven and pass the skill check to keep the horse. And I believe this results in you getting a unique letter from maven stating you may keep frost. This may also require killing letrush and talking to maven again. I don't recall it's been a few years.

For that Thirsk Mead Hall questline I always side with the Reiklings they are so adorable.

They critically missed a comedic oprotunnity with the Arentino kid. Your character reallly needs the option to say "Gerlod the Kind, is now Gerlod the Living..."

When you first approach whiterun, and the companions are fighting the giant outside of town, you can pickpocket the whiterun gate key off of them and walk inside without the guards permission.

Maybe it's been noticed a hundred times, but I just realized today the carvings on the walls match the type of animal insignias used to open the dragon claw doors in the drauger tombs. They'll be moth, owl, and wolf deities on walls where a the puzzle uses moth, wolf and owl pictures etc.

“Upon your first visit to Whiterun, you will find that the Cloud District is off limits, so you won’t get there often.”

I love the Served Cold quest. you murder an entire family and get to keep their house as a reward

Nate: did you know you can kill almost everyone that is required for the Dark brotherhood. There are a few in whom you can't, but getting more respect and gold is worth it. Also, with the Whiterun missions. If you commit a crime in the hold, wait two days, the guards will then come at you and see if you want to pay the fine or go to jail. If you do either if these, you'll be able to go in and leave Whiterun whenever you want.

This was a pretty good episode honestly, it’s been run dry lately and I’ve found this episode really interesting, but I’m pretty sure the Gregor the kind one has been featured before, but good nonetheless

When I left Thrisk after killing Bujold and then returned after few days. I was attacked by everyone. I don't know if my disposition was so low with NPCs or what but when I was trying to tolk to anyone sudden everyone turned hostile.

I have not let Maven in on the plot to steal Frost in two of my previous play through's and have still had the random encounter where Letrush is murdered by a Black Briar Merc

The first playthrough I let Maven in on Sibbi's plan, I never got that encounter. So it's cool to know I got something out of it, thanks Nate!

Wow, I'm glad you posted this today! I just finished the Thirsk Mead Hall questline, so I can't wait to continue a bit further with these new dialogue options! On a side note, I watched one of your cut content videos for Skyrim, and you said that there was supposed to be a Cyclone spell that was discarded(I could also not remember the video correctly), but I have a Cyclone Shout that has the same effects. So I don't think they entirely scrapped the idea, they buried it and then dug it back up in the form of a Shout for a DLC. Thought you should know.

Skyrim really is a masterpiece. Many games just aren't made with this level of love and passion anymore. They're made with the purpose of making money before making art.

I love these videos so much when I’m bored of playing games I grab food and watch them I also like to to listen to them when I do my homework pretty nice and soothing

I like Skyrim. But the buildup to the main quest goals was much more dramatic than beginning to achieve them. The MQ fell flat. In Morrowind I was less than motivated to see the MQ through which was fine and all, and in Oblivion there really seemed like an urgency existed and it got bigger and bigger and more impressive. Skyrim sort of plateaued early.

Well if u kill her before the kids are just grateful while if u murder her to death when he asks you the kids will also reveal some dialogue saying that the kid actually pulled it off and how happy they were for him

After finishing The Chief of Thirsk Hall quest, during which you help a group of rieklings that live in Thirsk Mead Hall and become their chief, as a reward you will get some of those rieklings as followers. They will appear near you during every combat on Solstheim and help you fight. They appear only on Solstheim and I have never seen them on the mainland. But !!! If you happen to go to Blackreach and get in fight with someone your riekling friends will appear there. In Blackreach!!! How?! Is Blackreach somehow connected to Solstheim? Can you even get from Solstheim to Blackreach?! I don’t know, maybe it was just a glitch. But it was quite fascinating to see little blue munchkins there + very fun to watch them fight with falmer.

Nice one. 3/5 I didn't know about. Crazy after over 3000 hours this game still holds secrets
