Le parole riguardo le vittime del COVID-19 mi hanno commosso poiché ci hai tenuto a parlare un pochino non solo sui cambiamenti dell'aviazione ma anche di una crisi che ha colpito tutti e c'è chi è purtroppo non ce l'ha fatta e dobbiamo ricordarli

Sky Society Thank you! Actually Alitalia used to offer only drink service on domestic flights in the last few years, as snack service was removed. Now the snack service has been resumed but only on demand.

Viajei muito de Alitalia quando morava em Milão, sabia até a matrícula dos jatos que cobriam a rota Roma - São Paulo, não me canso de dizer que ainda é minha companhia aérea preferida na Europa.

Thanks you for this great Trip Report! I found it very interesting to see how things have changed post Covid-19 in Italy. It is worrying to see that people have started to fall back into the old habits of queuing closely to others. It seems to be happening more and more in all European countries. ✈️

Especially the high temperatures and the summer mood do not help at all. I hope that the situation will not return back as before...

I think loading passengers in the plane should be done orderly and from back to front, And vise versa when deplaning.

Pina Peters Yes that’s the way Alitalia manages their boarding process and when you can entry only from the front door. However, when deplaning, we used both doors, therefore the mid section was the last to leave.

Actually I flew in the very first days when operations have been reduced with lots of flight cancellations, so that airlines could fly a low number of flights which were anyway fully booked. I also flew few days later on other airlines and routes, however those flights were just half full even though the flight frequencies were highly reduced.

Trip Report Thank you so much for your comment and appreciation! Actually, Alitalia blocked the middle seat during the lockdown, however it’s not economically feasible to block the middle seats for long, unless you charge the tickets much more...

Ethiopian flights usually arrive early in the morning and leave in the evening. For this reason, you found this A350 still parked at MXP.

Thank you for the video, this was very interesting for me as I am due to be flying from the UK to Malpensa next week, the first time I have been through this airport. Is everything functioning reasonably well (baggage, immigration queues etc.) despite the difficult circumstances?

Ross Thompson Thank you so much for your comment. Actually, I flew in July when there were still very few passengers, so there were not queues. Next week, most tourists will come back home from their holidays, therefore I would expect more queues at baggage claim. Due to travel restrictions extra-EU, I still would not expect queues at immigration.

Belle immagini anche se trovo molto strana la posizione del sole che sembrerebbe trovarsi a meno di 90° rispetto all'Etna che a sua volta, giustamente, si trova a circa 100° nord rispetto a pista 08 di Catania. Da un primo ragionamento mi aspetterei il sole almeno a più di 90° rispetto all'Etna e quindi impossibile da filmare in quanto oltre la coda dell'aereo, in caso contrario ci dovremmo trovare praticamente al tropico con ipotetica pista 09 e poco più a nord con pista 08 come quella di Catania. Probabilmente sto sottovalutando tre aspetti: 1) la vicinanza di Catania al tropico. 2) la data della ripresa, verosimilmente molto vicina al solstizio d'estate che nel 2020 è caduto il 20 giugno alle 21:44 3) l'ora tarda della ripresa (intorno alle 20:00).

Yes correct, Alitalia A320s do not have IFE on the seats like all European airlines on their narrowbodies...

PISTRELO _OFFICIAL Certo, ha già riaperto da due settimane, da oggi invece tutti i voli Alitalia (eccetto i dedicati MXP-FCO) sono stati spostati su LIN.
