At work I order alot of MJF prototypes, its really great for high temp mechanical parts. Its also easy to rework, which is nice, and the finish is really nice.

The error in the resin parts really confuses me. It's a process that's usually much tighter than that; that amount of error would be barely tolerable for an FDM print on most 0.4mm nozzle machines. I'm also a wondering if they kept the orientations as specified, or printed them on an angle. That works a lot more reliably in my experience. It also doesn't tear the FEP as much, which is a big win. Did they specify the resin used? There are a lot of options, and they're all weird and proprietary, so if they change vendors, it may have a huge impact on performance between orders. As far as pricing goes: it's totally worth a premium to not have to deal with a resin printer. I love the results from resin SLA, but rarely use mine because it's such a mess. Other people don't seem to have this problem, but they can probably eat pasta in a white shirt without ruining it, unlike me. Maybe I'm just sloppy in general. Thanks for putting this together, and I'm looking forward to the next tests!

0.1mm error for resin printing is like total trash quality. 0.05 is normal deviance.

Hey Igor, I was wondering if you have on your to do list a video on how ambient air temperature effects your print quality? We all know about and needing heating but what happens if you print in different temperatures with pla?

With PLA it shouldn't be very big difference, probably with warping materials there is. But good subject for a video and testing

Any thoughts on repeating the test with humidity aged nylon? It gets a lot of it's toughness from some moisture absorbtion

PA12 stabilise with absorbing of the moisture after 10-14 days. It took more time to arrive from China. And PA12 is not so sensitive to moisture, unlike PA6 or PA6.6.

In that case, the video is perfect for you. For example you can download something from thingiverse.com and use 3D printing services :-)
