@SLCFarms

They don’t waist a thing there. Even the little bit that doesn’t get back to the baler gets swept up and either used for straw/erosion bales or fed to his cows. They even recycle the net wrap.

pretty slick set up. Not sure how much waste it catches, but that set up is worth it to save on clean up time. I've seen how fast spillage piles up under conveyors.

Brian, Bobcat still makes those 4-wheel steer loaders. Unfortunately, they're smaller hp (25 or so). I believe their lift capacity is around 1900 lbs with their telescopic booms.

I guess the owner meant that model. He bought 2 of them before there were none available and said he loves them.

Unfortunately it’s there hay we are in the buying hay stage till spring. I still have some rounds but they are outside and I can’t get it to stop raining long enough to get them dried out to break down so we are just feeding those and selling them as rounds.

Great looking setup and i am pleased to see how much of the chaff they try to to collect since most re balers i have seen have way too much waste and loss . I had one of those 4 wheel bobcats they are nice for in a warehouse but were lacking some lift for most pallets i had to move. and it was worthless in muddy cow lots lol
@SLCFarms
@SLCFarms 3 жыл бұрын
I’m not exactly sure what kind of lift these have I know he could pick up 2 1200# rounds with it and the big grapple attached and for what they did it was perfect for the setup

Cool operation. What was the buzzer for? Was it a bale counter or some kinda detector?

On a different note, do they ever worry about fire, and do they have a system to fight it if it ever was to happen, other than of course the obvious ways to fight fire?
@SLCFarms

Good point I didn’t make. The owner is a retired fireman and has a full sprinkler system and his own fire truck. He is very concerned with that and won’t even store hay in the work area incase it were to catch fire so he won’t loose everything
