"Meet me at the waterfront after the social." Fun Fact: The film became an unexpected hit and something of a cult favorite for horror movie buffs. It made 30 times more than what was spent on it. Practical Effect Fact: For Artie's (Owen Hughes) severe burn sequence, the actor was propped up on a fake floor and underneath, liquid gelatin was pumped through the blisters giving the impression that they were pulsating. Authentic Battle Damage Fact: While filming the scene in which the canoe flips over in the lake, John E. Dunn cut the top of his hand open against a sharp rock on the lake bottom and had to be rushed to the hospital. Mrs. Doubtfire Award Fact: Angela was indeed played by a woman, Felissa Rose. However the climactic scene was accomplished using a nude man wearing a mask cast from Felissa Rose's face. The thin man who stood in for Angela was a college student who needed to get drunk before he was able to do the scene. Though originally uncredited, it has since been revealed that the identity of Angela's body double was Archie Liberace. It is his first and only screen credit.

It definitely is & it's the only good part of the film just like most of the greatest twists in films like Usual Suspects & Seven...they are cool but the second viewing just makes u want to skip to the end regardless of the films good or not

Felissa Rose (who played Angela) is an absolute sweetheart and has spent so much of her life interacting with fans. Fun fact: she's married to the former guitarist of CKY. Honestly I laughed so hard when the Murder Whistle came out lmao. Sometimes in a horror movie you just gotta side with the psycho.

She's a good friend of the Dead Meat crew now, she loves her fans and supposedly is still willing to do some sort of Sleepaway Camp reboot cameo or what have you. I know she did that Sleepaway Camp uh, "reboot" they did a decade or so ago - but no thanks lol even she has said it was horrible :D

Felissa Rose was 13 when she played Angela in the movie. It was an unknown college student wearing a plaster mask for the full-body shot at the end. Because of the plaster mask that they created, that's why his face is frozen like that. To this day, nobody knows who the college student was, as the cast has never said, and he hasn't come forward either. So, no, the person filmed naked wasn't underage.

I know the woman who played Angela personally. Her name is Felissa Rose Esposito-Miller. She’s from Long Island, NY where I’m from. She’s very nice and down to Earth in person.

Felissa Rose went on to become a realtor, just imagine her showing you a house when she hits you with that Angela stare! 😂 And yeah it’d seem nobody really cared that the occasional naked kid was seen in that era, I remember watching the original Superman movie with my very religious parents for the first time back in the late 90’s. They nearly had a heart attack Oh and far as I’m concerned the real monster of this movie is that mom!

I remember renting this at the local video store when I was a kid. My uncle took me and my 2 cousins every weekend to the video rental place and he always let us get scary movies. I was a little young for this film but I remember it scaring the shit out of me! Was probably 8 when I first saw it.

In 1988 I have some new neighbors from Brooklyn, New York. Moving to the apartments next to me.,,, I remember the VHS case being light blue because I washed it with them many times as they had the original copy. I remember being more nudity in it and I remember the ending being completely different with the actual boy Running up a Hill with potatoes duct tape to his chest. And then the movie disappeared into the early 2000s, and then the case was black. And then I noticed the new ending where it's just a computer figure with her face on it😂 But I always thought that Felicia rose had a twin brother and that who was the killer row belonged to. But i'm not sure, does anybody know?

Felissa Rose's (Angela) mom was very protective of her daughter and wouldn't let her do a lot of the gory/dangerous things. So yeah, that is Ricky's actor in a wig in the doorway before the Judy kill. I guess the filmmakers weren't anticipating high definition visuals.

This movie was filmed about 20 minutes from where I live in Lake Luzerne, in upstate New York. It’s a beautiful spot to be in the summer time. Great review as always man! Keep up the great work! 👍🏻

Watching this movie with Jay, I see despite how little they spent on this movie, they got their money's worth out of it if people are still watching it and getting surprised by the twist decades later. Come to shady Camp Weinstein Lake, it may be cheap but it's an unforgettable experience!

This one shows that a little bit of charm and some really despicable characters makes a pretty decent slasher experience. The sequel is pretty fun too.

I was 11 when this came out, I don't remember hearing of it ever. When it started and the cheesy acting came in, I knew it had to be good. This was fun. I'd prefer this style over gore cuz Halloween doesn't have to mean blood and guts all the time. Have a good wknd, see y'all Monday for whatever ya got cookin👍👻🎬

the naked scene at the end was done by a boy with a mask on to look like Angela who was very upset about doing the scene but he was made to anyway because her mother wouldn't let her wear a strap on i just heard on the channel dead meat who does kill counts for horror movies, and the scene were you saw Ricky in the shadows before the curing iron scene that went exactly how you thought it did wasn't supposed to be him it was meant to be her but he was wearing a wig
