Wow this video was a challenge! This song is probably my favorite Christmas song to listen to/play and I really wanted to attempt something crazy by seeing if I could play every single part with the knowledge and skill I've developed across many instruments. And after a week of on and off recording I did it!
Instruments used:
Woodwinds:
Piccolo
2 Flutes
3 Clarinets
Bass Clarinet
Contra Alto Clarinet
2 Alto Saxes
Tenor Sax
Bari Sax
Brass:
3 Cornets
2 Trumpets
4 Horns
3 Trombones
Baritone
Tuba
(String Bass)
Percussion:
Sleigh Bells
Bells
Temple Blocks
Snare Drum
Bass Drum
Cymbals
Slapstick
Xylophone

For stuff like this honestly to not waste too much time recording it helps best to learn all the parts relatively well ahead of time. Normally when I record I just sightread and play what I've written without practicing but there were a few tricky sections in some of these parts that it helped to work out the day earlier
