In the heart of the Ennedi massif, in northern Chad, Ingaï takes his grandson for the first time, Abderahim along with him, to introduce him to the life of a camel breeder. In the middle of the massif lies secret canyons, where flora and fauna of breathtaking beauty cohabit together.

As much as we are fascinated with their lifestyle, can you imagine if these nomads were placed into our society? They would be blown away by our cell phones, computers, skyscrapers etc etc.... however even tho these ppl don't have those things (that we claim we NEED!) their life seems much more calmer & peaceful. We could learn a lesson or two from them!

Was thinking the same on both points, I guess it is camel for lunch for the crocs. As for the women, sadly in Chad, female genital mutilation is huge and kind of spoils the idea of the beautiful simple life in symbiosis with nature.

@@trishdelacour8746 I'm sorry to hear this. The cultures where men and women aren't equal and women are largely drudges are beyond my comprehension, as a human being and much less as a free spiritual' being. The story about the geographically separated Tuareg immigration in eastern Chad & in Darfur, is so complicated, both as about the true population count today. Many of them in Darfur have been arabized & lost their language & heritage cause of the local climate change which made them to decide to move into the urban areas of Western Sudan (in Janaina, maybe also in Al Fashir)!!!
