I’ve been waiting forever for another episode from you guys! Slingin it is such a great show for shooters. Nobody else in the community has anything where shooters just sit and talk slingshots for a while! It’s great!

Amazin chat- yes- shooting 'perfectly' for a sequence then 'wanting it too much' and missing. Absolutely. Then also I find if my mind is a bit grippy/tense/tired whatever I 'm nowhere near as good as when I am a bit better rested/ not stressing about things. Thanks for the episode you made an isolated catty man feel less alone!

Good to see another vid lads, always good stuff, trust you both well. Been doing 24mm Trebor mints from 10 & 11 metres recently. Powdering 10 in three sessions then going over to Coke tin bottoms from 13 metres, good 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups here. This all with PPSG. Anyway, this morning decided to set 40mm spinner up in 'catch bucket' down woods. Took PPMG+ OTT and PPMG+ TTF, OTT 'cos I've been shooting TTF exclusively for past few months. Started with OTT and out of 39 shots only 2 or 3 very near misses (8mm steel by the way) - this from 10 metres. At 39 shots bands snapped at pouch, they'd done 250. Went over to TTF and did terrible, with only the occasional hit. Wondered what the hell was wrong, using same under cheekbone anchor point and reference, that is, bang on the target. Getting petty frustrated by now. Then aimed a fraction below and problem solved, bang on again. OTT PPMG+ is 2mm wider than TTF and thus needed slightly lower ref. point. Went up to 11 metres then 13 and excellent hit rate. Although I think maybe not as good as with OTT, although this may have been fatigue, 170 shots !. TTF bands have done 717 now, Precise .45, 22x18, 5.85 inches slack, 30 inch draw for 78% extension. All best lads, keep vids coming, AL.

Had to watch this twice, I'd had a couple of dramms last night and nearly pissed myself laughing when the crack started. Great to hear you boys reminisce, could've listened for hours. Did'nt get the full context until watching the second time, my fault not yours 😅 Great content, already looking forward to the next episode, and Chris,, you've no need to sit in a corner drinking on your own mate, anyone would glady have you in their company....😎👍

How would someone set up a slingshot shop. How do you get funding for it and would all slingshot manufacturers and band makers be willing to sell there products under one roof?

@@CatapultCarnage I have and it's a great "intermediate/advanced" aiming video. In traditional archery, the shot process ( mental and physical steps) is all the rage. Since you guys were talking JT ( I'm a fan), I thought it would be cool if you could verbalize one complete shot process including the physical steps and internal dialogue that allows you to progress through those steps. Chris you as a shooter have come as close to doing this as anyone on you tube. I've been shooting slingshots/catapults since before simple shot was a company, always going through hot and cold phases. I took up traditional archery about 5 years ago and used that form and body mechanics, mindset, ECT to 100% remake my slingshot shooting form so that my consistency is leagues better than in the past. I've learned so much about alignment and body mechanics, aiming philosophy/science and so on. I feel like you are right on the edge of verbalizing many of the same realizations without having to learn archery to understand it.

Hi Chris. One of your videos from a few months ago, you were asking if new shooters were watching you, I am. Although I was shooting tube slings about 45-50 years ago, I am new to modern shooting. You were actually a random popup suggestion a few years back, but had a job and life change, never fully picked it up. So I have 2 questions. For OTT, are the bands supposed to roll outwards, inwards or does it matter. The slings I ordered from simple shot, came with .7 black for 3/8. Would it make sense to use a 3x ratio to start training, and then increase as I become proficient or should I just start with thinner bands? Thanks in advance, really enjoying your IQ video, keep up the great work🍻 Edit: Just happened to see one of gamekeeper John's band videos, and it looks like his ties to his pouch, are different for OTT and TTF so the bands are always flat. My pre-made set, is the way he ties for TTF, but I have them on for OTT. Does this make any difference?

I want to start shooting but I need some direction before I get started. I have only shot a slingshot in my childhood. I want to eliminate any bad habits before I begin shooting for accuracy. I am right hand but I have always held my slingshot in my left hand and pulled with the right. Don't know why. I learned that I am left eye dominant when I started shooting guns. Please tell me what I need to change before I begin. Love all your content. Are your slingshots gear toward experienced shooters or can beginners use them, or could you suggest something for a beginner. Please help me.

Top tire that lads 😊 Here is a good question why do you think band slot haven't really took off compared to clips . From a hunting point of view when you're in the field you dont need any tools strips of band or anything to quickly change a set it in out an job done ????

Do you have any tips and tricks to improve slingshot aim when shooting vertically upwards? When im out hunting woodpigeon, most of the times my game is high in the trees and very skittish about anything getting close to them. It seems i have trouble and my aim seems to suffer greatly when shooting directly upwards or very close to being vertical. I do fine when shooting horizontal with my game being not much higher or lower than im standing, but it seems im really bad when shooting upwards missing every shot. If you find shooting upwards no different than shooting horizontally do you have any tips to pass on to improve accuracy? i.e giving more hold over or hold under and such. I aim for a headshot just as i would with any other shot, but i either send the ball way above them or i end up hitting the branch they are standing on.

Hi user, I haven't been shooting very long and still working on aim at a flat trajectory, but I would think archery form could be applied here. When shooting, you need to keep your "t"shape from the waist up. When in a deer stand with my bow, I let my lead knee buckle in towards my back leg a bit while bending at the waist, and vice versa when I have to shoot on an incline. You need to keep keep your arms and torso as close to a "t" as possible, otherwise it changes your sight picture and trajectory. Hope that helps, and good luck!!
