Very interesting video. The modern electronic "4wd" ( basically awd) systems seem to be very very capable. But old 4wd will never fail you. That is why the pickup trucks have the the traditional selectable 4wd system, with tc off course...If the lada had a rear lcd diff or tc it would have been a different story. Very well done for the video!

Older cars with open diffs were as capable as modern ones but all that needed is a momentum and here it is the ability of the driver to understand and manage the car properly, good car with a good driver 🚘😎👍

I own both the Duster 2 and an old Niva. My opinion is that with the lack of any electronics and only a mechanical center diff lock in the NIVA it's a weaker offroader compared with my Duster 2 and it's electronically simulated brake diff locks from side to side.
