How come everyone who gets "knocked out" in the video is keeping their head off the ground and using their arms to break their fall when they hit the ground? They don't look knocked out to me.

not that sort of ko, the sort where the cant really fight any more, there are pressure points to do that but more likely than not you can strike it to hard and kill your opponent, in a championship or tournament you cant kill your opponent so this will suffice as they cant get up for around 5 mins

Albert H someone who does not train in martial arts... i think that is called assualt and gets you put in jail. if you think we can just use martial arts on anyone then you are mistaken but even if you think the video is fake, (i do because on one of the clips he hits the wrong spot.) the fact is there are vulnerable points on the body that can be struck with even 1 finger and KO people, it is simple biology.

I trained under and taught for Professor Leon Jay and was a member of George Dillmans Kyusho Jitsu association. I also taught for/ trained with the British Army for a long long time (X infantry soldier). From there I went onto become a police officer and taught them unarmed combat. I am making my own comment (this is the third one!). If you want to see any of our videos then have a look at the links on the left or type in Small Circle Jujitsu or George Dillman. Friends was just a turn of phrase!

Coach Mark here, i usually troll pressure point vids to get a laugh. this is the only one ive come across that seems to work. these are strikes to the Vcavity in the neck that does work . we see it in boxing and mma all the time. hitting a freight train moving in on you hard and fast, i would stay away from back hand motions, and come straight down the pipe, using larger targets neck-chin-lower jaw for the strikes.Ps you don't have to link or chain (gall bater wrist strikes garbage). Good work.

Several times, the defender abandons a perfectly good leverage control to use a pressure point tactic. Some pressure points will work on virtually everybody , but none are hundred percent. The knockout pressure points will only be effective against about 80% of the population, especially the brachial plexus which is being used in most of the knockout techniques. Pressure point techniques should never replace solid leverage based jujitsu techniques. I also agree with another poster that some of the attackers are using breaks all techniques when they're supposed to be knocked out. Anyone with a reasonable amount of martial arts knowledge will recognize these flaws in this video.

kata is the most important part of self defense! they teach vital technique! how to throw a proper punch hip rotation speed timing...Learning katas properly before sparring gives the student a strong foundation. Katas teach This new knowledge of his natural weapons (kicks, punches, elbows, chops, knees, blocks), and the necessary ability to move onto the more advanced exercise of sparring.

In Kung Su Do, we learned of the points under the armpit - if you press on that with your thumb after blocking a punch while also squeezing on the deltoids, if the guy's skinny enough, and also go for the one above a kidney, just pressing on these hard enough will make the guy go limp, and it hurts like hell. But yeah, these knockouts however, will be very difficult to pull off in a street fight but possible. Go for a take down if anything, the one at 1:13 is the most practical and easy to do.

Ok... to ppl criticizing the video, esp what they're doing. comparing it to Muay Thai, MMA etc. Plz dont.. That's apples and oranges. If I wasn't educated in what this was, id probably be saying what some of YOU see. I have been involved, training, fighting and most recently just teaching others Muay Thai. Real, not watered down Thai Fighting. I had earned my certification in March of 2013. There are a lot of M/Thai trainers, no doubt. more than 3/4 are NOT certified. Which is cool, I just went above and beyond to get it. Doesn't make me "badass" lol, it just eases my students minds. Sorry, back on track. Most of my fellow Military, and Law Enforcement Officers will most likely know the basics of what you're watching. It's NOT per Dr, a true Combat, or Martial art. It is primarily used, with the purpose of encapasitating a person momentarily (ie to break away, cuff up, etc). If anyone has ever been cuffed (BY the Police). you'll notice, they, & unfortunately a little to much, twist your hands, if you resist, they'll twist to the point of pain.. without (hopefully) injury. As an Officer, I used PPCT 10 times more than my weapons, or even the treat of. Second to my words is MY favorite choice. Not all Officers think how I did. However, I hope this cleared things up a bit... it is NOT used as a combat/fighting style. It's used for Control & manipulation with little or no permanent injury. However, it CAN BE brutal, and the pain of an Straight Arm Bar takedown, I've used that quite a few times. Brachial Stun, WILL disrupt blood flow to the brain, if applied strong enough, meaning proper speed and power, and potentially drop a 200 lb plus man to the ground. Before I over type my welcome. Plz take what I've explained, and view it the way it's meant to be, not as some other karate type. I teach Muay Thai mixed with P.P.C.T to not only do something different, but give my students more choices, and not always have to crush their skulls all the time... lol, only when needed. thank you

i study in the art of showlin kenpo. pressure points and proper use of leverage are the two quickest way to take down your attacker. it takes years of study. you cant learn how to take people down by simply watching a youtube video. find a local martial arts dojo, or what ever you want to train in and stick with it, you will learn alot more than just kicks and punches.

im sure that these pressure point fighting techniques can really work if enough force is applied to the points but i feel like actually managing to keep your cool enough to remember these moves while in life threatening danger would be an amazingly hard thing to do, most fights I've seen are just 2 people flailing body parts randomly and hoping to hit something important on the opponent

Coach Mark- The only real way to train for these is to put on the mma gloves train Mauy thai< BJJ, and during sparing, practice short shots, during a "real clench". i find that a, back and up angle works well (keep it to the side and exercise restraint . Do not collapse a friends wind pipe.*bad new bears,* keep in mind im a Trainer-Coach. This is only for high level, i recommend you train MMA a few years first, you get good a real self defense fast and add this as a high level technique

Even if the pressure points work, it cannot work this way because I see no attack here. in what situation in the right mind would anyone attach with one strike and leaving oneself standing still after that? It looks like early "American Ninja" movies, where the fightinf action looked more like traditional karate and jujutsu pair techniques with no real attacks...

Not bullshit. Maybe they fall a little easy on the neck hits, but that's just to protect each other I'd say. Most of the hits I've seen in these videos are on vital points AND they don't fake their strikes. They don't hit hard enough to knock someone hard, but hell trust me if you're not used to taking hits on those areas this will fuck you up.

+RonioFOX I'm not debating the existence of pressure points. There are two examples of pressure point use that you can see everyday in fighting sports. They're called "knockout" and "submission". Hypnosis might work in psychotherapy. Please keep it out of self defense or fighting, or you will get hurt while trying to apply some choreographed mumbo-jumbo on someone who knows how a basic and fast combination of strikes work. The fact that "churches" use it, only validates it further as utter bullshit.

Sorry, iSwagN1, I disagree. While you may be right about the pressure points, there is a whole lot of "fake" in this video. First of all, as I said in my comment, when these people are "knocked out" they are still doing breakfalls. Can you explain how that is? How does someone who is supposedly unconscious have the ability to do a breakfall? Examples of this are at 0:13, 0:20, 0:44 and countless other spots in the video.

it does work... Its the exact same thing as overloading a CPU in a computer, if it overloads the computer crashes... A brain can only take 50,000 nerve impulses, therefore if you trigger a higher number of nerve impulses than 50,000 then the brain gets overloaded and "Crashes" causing the brain to shut down temporarily rendering the victim unconscious...

Pressure point K.O's are not fake. I watched them work first hand on multiple people yesterday during police academy. I cant vouch for the validity of this video, and obviously the no touch K.O is fake, it's meant to be a joke in this video. Everyone has different sensitivities at different points, so one attack may work on one person but not the next, but trust me this stuff is no joke. If you don't get proper training on how to do it you most likely will never be successful applying them.

Man, it's simple. There is carotid sinus, a dilated area of common carotid artery which is sensitive to pressure changes in the arterial blood at this level. It helps to adjust the pressure in the arterial blood who flow through the brain. It develop a reflex mechanism who slows the heart rithm if the sinus are stimulated. This mechanism produce a sincopa or REFLEX DEATH. Some people can die very easily. THAT'S NOT A JOKE! (Sorry for my english, I know isn't briliant).
