@@saktisaliyeshuha5584 In the absence of any replies, I found out myself that it is likely to be classed as a quadricycle the same as a Renault Twizy which means it requires L6 type approval to be driven on the roads in the UK, and cannot be driven on the pavement. I found no evidence this product had type approval so it can only be driven legally on private land. Might explain why they don't appear to be for sale over here anymore.

@@nigelft My reply addressed why this particular machine doesn't appear to be imported into the UK anymore. i.e. it's too big and hefty to masquerade as a mobility scooter under UK rules - its as simple as that. Imagine something this big barreling towards you on a pavement! It COULD be imported and sold as a quadricycle (i.e. similar to your class 4 idea) if an importer was willing to put it through the relevant type approval, where it would simply join other small EVs in the UK like the Renault Twizy. There are other options when it comes to mobility. Just yesterday, I saw someone out in some pretty foul weather on a TGA Breeze S4 with the optional hard canopy and side screens, giving a fully enclosed scooter and that can be driven on the pavement and road in the UK without a license. I'm pretty certain a TGA Breeze is available under the Motability scheme in the UK too. There are many companies selling the ScooterPac Cabin Car these days in the UK which is a Chinese made single seat cabin mobility scooter. I think that bends the rules on its excess weight by making use of an additional weight allowance intended for people who need to carry medical equipment such as oxygen tanks on a scooter. In terms of Cabin Car's physical size, and the fact it is a single seater, it otherwise meets the mobility scooter class 3 rules so I doubt anyone will question the excess weight and bending of rules unless one of them is involved in a serious accident.

u will need to register it with DVLA as its a class 3. Once registered u will get a log book with the registration number so u can get number plates made for it. U will also get a tax disk to put on it but thats free but has to be renewed every year. Class 3 r road scooters so to use it on the road u have to have number plates and tax disk. If u only want it for use on the pavement then u have to by law put it on the low speed setting as u can get done for speeding if u go over 4MPH on the pavement hence the low setting as that puts the 4MPH speed restrictor on. It must be on the high setting for road use as u must be able to do at least 6MPH on the road. there is a section in the highway code for mobilty scooters. So read that before u use a mobilty scooter. Insurance is not compulsary right now for mobilty scooters but its advisable to get insurance just in case u do crash into a car or anything else.

They are selling their 3 wheeled enclosed cabin electric Mobility Scooters for nearly twice the price it cost them. A Profit is one thing. A Rip Off is not acceptable.
