Hey Jackie!! You should file a claim with MGA Entertainment (which is the company that produces these toys) for the monkey not including a body and they’ll send you a new one if they have another or something of equal value. Make sure that you contact them 30 days or less after the purchase or they won’t give you a replacement. Hope this helps!

Jackie, just a suggestion on glitter removal from body parts? If you use packing tape instead of washing your hands, you don't have to worry about it going down the drain and into the poor fishies water, and if you do the same thing I do (keep a bag dedicated to the used tape with glitter on it until its full) then you can just toss it in with mixed recycling.

So glitter down the drain is bad, but glitter in landfills that eventually make its way into the soil and water table is fine? This just confuses me how only the water creatures are of a concern, but other animals ingesting it aren't a big concern.

@@Naomi-pq6tv most people discourage use of non-biodegradable glitter. Mica is always preferred but if you have plastic glitter the better option is the garbage (can't be recycled) it will take much longer to reach the water supply than directly down the drain. Mico plastics in water hurt us just as much as sea creatures.

I really appreciated how the packaging (mostly) used paper instead of plastic baggies. Granted there is still plastic waste, but the paper wrappings is an improvement. More toy companies should be doing this, toys already come with massive amounts of plastic garbage.

I noticed that with the newest wave of Disney Real Littles, they seem to use paper wrapping for the items inside, and have more fabric feeling bags rather than plastic AFAIK. Hopefully toy companies are moving towards eco-friendly plastics for toys, and minimizing plastic wastage where possible

Hi Jackie! The hedgehog’s spines are suppose to look like rock candy! The crystallized sugar candy on a stick for anyone that doesn’t know. That’s the theme. Rocker hedgehog with rock candy ☺️

@@brierose86 i find it weird that they are upset over being spoiled when they didn't watch the video first. I sometimes read comments first, but never get bent out of shape if I find a comment that "spoils" something from the video. This should be a lesson for them. Not sure what they were expecting by reading the comments prior to the video. Also there are so many other comments that talk about not just the hedgehog, but the other characters opened.

Jackie, the hedgehog one was "rock" candy hence the rock theme. also in the 80s a lot of hairbands ( heavy metal bands , not hair ties) would use the lightning bolt in one way or another .

But they had some of each type but only two colours ... monkey was ice-cream and the bunny and racoon were cakes and were all pink, and the sheep was ice-cream but the hedgehog was candy and they were purple.

I get that the zipties are annoying, but without them people would just open the containers in the store and steal the stuff from inside, or go through them trying to find specific ones. Wire cutters tend to work really well on those thick ties. That's what I usually use when I have to deal with them, especially when they are on there tight without much wiggle room.

If the Smash brand mystery surprise toys and Candy Crush game did a collab of a mystery toy set, THIS would be very appropriate! Also, maybe the colors of the breakable tops could mean what rarity the figures are? That's pretty much how it's done in some of the other mystery figure sets.

The missed production is something I even see at work. I work overnight stocking shelves. Every so often one of the products in the case is missing the items. It happens with pasta and cans mainly. One time an empty bag of Rigatoni was still attached to a full bag. 😂 And these are rather weird, but in a cute way. 😅

I can see the empty bag easier than this. As someone who worked in a snackfood factory. Sometimes the chutes malfunctioned and didn't dump product. On newer machines they don't cut the bags til it weighs enough. But some are just timed. Or if they were changing the rolls they would have manually sealed and thread. The packers should have noticed and thrown it. I loved getting empty bags cause I'm just a big child and liked popping them as they came down the line. 😆

Hey Jackie! I use cuticle cutters that have the long handle.. which I get from dollar tree.. but cuticle nail trimmers work great on cutting the zip ties.

Also, Jackie, if you do another video on these, put the heads in warm water before putting them on the bodies (if you're worried abt trapped water in the heads or the paint, put them in a sandwich baggie first) This way, the plastic will be softer and thus easier to slip on

I think you should be able to contact the company and get a new product. MGA is usually pretty good about giving out new products when you get defects. And you can keep the messed up product, usually. So I think it would be worth it for you to contact them.

I agree with the glitter sealing. It just gets everywhere. I use a lot of holographic pigment in my art and always make sure to seal it because those tiny plastic bits get everywhere. its a rainbow of pain and litter

i think the beads do match the character quite well. i think they do the color but they did match theme in a subtle way. i really liked the sheep one cause it looked like bubbles. the hedgehog reminded me of glam rock from the 80s. i dont think they were going specifically for the hobby only, which is what you were thinking....they were doing an all over thing. i also think they do try to keep it simple for thier end as well and use bead shapes that can be used for other things. who knows....just a thought.

i think the hedgehog was really cute hes supposed to be rock candy (big sugar crystals in bright colors typically on a stick) and the beads being stars and lightning bolts is a callback to 80s/early 90s rock and roll bands

Nail clippers might work to snap the 3 small plastic loops holding the item together. The topper for the hedgehog looks like an amethyst geode of sorts so Finn could be "rockin'" that way, but someone else would have to explain the connection to the stars and lightning bolts, LOL!

Hi Jackie 👋, unfortunately bad children who open up all the blind bags in the store without paying for it are the ones responsible for forcing the company's hand. Back in the day when this product first came out, the toy isles were littered with the destruction that comes with unattended toddlers 😢. Parents please teach your kids how to treat items in the stores. It breaks-a-my heart and makes me cry and cry and cry 😭 🎻

Email the company to request a lost body!! They packed it wrong. They need to fix it. I liked the Mod Podge solution. I was thinking UV resin, but Mod Podge or a clear glue product is something most people have!! 👏👏 Two thumbs up for thinking on your seat, er... feet!! 👍👍

the monkey pack was a simple example of a defective twin case where two twins develop no body but instead use that to make their heads bigger and sustain energy to the additional head.

For reference: I think your hedgehog is supposed to be rock candy, so the crystal clear spikiness is already pretty on brand. As for the lightning: A key part in what made rock and roll is the electric guitar, so the lightning is quite common as a symbol for the electricity that helped birth rock and roll.

For the small bracelet wire you could also perhaps make it into a phone charm as well in case it's too small. As for the double monkey heads, if you get a duplicate at least you can use the doubles body for the monkey so problem half solved. 🤷♀️

I was going to get some of these, but when I found out they were glittery, that was a hard pass for me! I would have want to see the dino, who I originally thought was a snake, but I really like that the lamb reminds me of Cult ot the Lamb! Also, I believe the hedgie is pop rocks themed!

I was so disappointed with the sheep having paw beads. They have hooves for crying out loud! ☹️ It seems like this product isn't ready for release, thank you for saving my family an afternoon of stress with my little. ❤

AWWW the lil floating monkey heads! They would actually be perfect for a statue sculpting project, like a bowl of ice cream/banana split. One head with the ears would be the topper and the other could get a dark (maybe chocolate colored) hood to imitate the darth Kermit meme, lurking on the side in the same bowl. 😂 My favorite is the sheep and the hedgehog from the character list. ^_^

Ahh I'm so jealous! The raccoon is the only character I want from this series. Gotta say the sheep is so much cuter without the shaker part attached. The purple of the hedgehog is really nice imo.

The lightning bolt immediately reminded me of classic David Bowie and his Ziggy Stardust phase, since he did the lightning on his face. That's why I keep thinking things put lightning bolts with "rock and roll" themed stuff otherwise I can't think of anything else for a reason.

I think the candy theme of the hamster is rock candy because of the spikes and he's part of a band and in general it just reminds me of rock candy is you know what it is. ❤

You should probably let the company know you didn't get the body for the monkey, be lucky I'm not gonna spend my cash on these. They are cute but if they don't pay attention to the packaging I'm not spending any dime on these.

I agree, Jackie. I'm a mom of 3, and I have toys that I bought for me. I keep them up high, so the little ones can't get them. I like Tsum Tsum, and LOL, and Rainbow High.
