I think they were respecting their “parent” show on the channel, TableTop. This show replaced it when Wil left the channel, but he profiled the game in season 1.

I often pull my legs up and sit cross-legged in my office chair without even thinking about it. It's quite a comfortable position... until my legs fall asleep.

@@TuxKamen no, all destruction happens simultaneously, so the FSL would have been destroyed but not Mr. Grumpers. And even if it wouldn't then Gina could have been decided the order as the active player, choosing Mr. Gumpers first. So either way, Mr. Gumpers would never die in this situation.

Becca likes to cheat. It seems like she may've cheated during that ridiculous run around 1:03:00 too. I think she used a draw or place extra card to do both and then chained it off of 2 or 3 other + minions cards for a ridiculous takeover.

I think the basis on that was that she was using the "active player sets priority" to (retroactively) resolve her immediately after scoring action before the base destroy all cards malus occurred... EXCEPT that would probably mean that her 7 power minion would have still had the +2 buff card attached, making it 9 power and the only card that should have been destroyed.

From what I observed, Becca, as Superdestructo mentioned, was exercising her "active player sets priority" power. So I believe her mindset was that she can choose which, between "Love Overload" and Q Point's ability, triggers first. The "Fun Bear" that you saw after she supposedly resolved the Q Point ability was actually the "Fun Bear" that was originally removed from the "Q Point" resolution. She had reversed what she had removed via the "Q Point" resolution so that she can use "Love Overload" first, after which she would then resolve "Q Point". Even if that happens to be the case, Becca still made an error regarding sequence of resolving Specials that trigger before scoring. "Q Point" should have taken priority because Specials that are "IN PLAY" must be resolved first; Becca's "Love Overload" was played from her hand, and was not technically "IN PLAY". In short, any cards that are in play on some base should be resolved before card played FROM PLAYERS HAND"

she would have anyway as the Lovey Bear would have had 7 power (copying King Rex' power) instead of 3 which would have given her the easy victory there.

It actually makes me feel good. I love to shuffle some well-worn cards, it's relaxing in a way.

I didn’t watch that part, but can say: the only time you check to see if a base is going to score is after the active player plays their cards and just before they draw two cards. It doesn’t matter whether bases exceed or drop below the break point before that, if one is at or above break point at that exact moment, it will score. Even if it drops below after that moment (likely through “specials”), it is still scoring. If multiple bases are able to score, pick one and score it. Afterward, check as if for the first time to see if one or more bases can score.

I missed how/why you cannot control a minion during a duel. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

It seems like what they were going for was a fun idea that, in the end, just got too contrived.

its not too bad because Game The Game has consistently in recent months showcased NEW games. Tabeletop was better in most other respects though

J Castle Geek & Sundry was bought by Legendary, which wanted to lock Tabletop behind a paywall (“Project Alpha”) and other things that Wil didn’t like, and he ultimately chose to leave Geek & Sundry. Felicia, I’m less certain about, though I know she had a baby, and I also know that at some point after Legendary bought G&S, they were acquired by Wanda Group, so it’s possible any/all of that factored into her decision to either step back or (more likely, the longer her absence continues) down altogether from G&S. The fact that Critical Role has also distanced itself somewhat from G&S by creating their own KZfaq & Twitch channels indicates, to me at least, that the acquisitions have resulted in some significant shake-ups that have left a lot of people unhappy with their involvement in G&S, but that’s just my impression.
