One thing you missed is that, lucas wasn't buffed during the volcano erupiton (it happens in a cutcene outside of battle) so you should have tried to see how mutch his buffs change him so we could get 100% true information on lucas' defence.

Love the way how pretty much everything in these characters move sets are used. Makes for way more interesting fights

Man, I was sure Lucas was going to win, but I didn't really take into account how strong and versatile Wario can get to be... both are strong and strange fighters, it only makes sense they were so close!

I was really rooting for Lucas, but I figured wario would take it more often than not. I'm glad it was at least closer than I expected though

It’s crazy how close this is. But I think Lucas really only wins based on good luck, while Wario has much more consistency. I think if they both fought eachother 100 times, Wario would win 52 times. I also think that no two matches would be alike. Wario’s sheer variety of attacks and abillities along with Lucas’s luck based attacks and different potential strategies to use would cause their matchup to be one of the most fun to watch (outside of smash bros). However if we weren’t going off of real world logic, Wario is super unlucky. If this scenario was set in the Mario universe instead of ours, Lucas would probably win like 80% of the time just. Mostly just due to Wario’s lack of luck.

This is one of my favorite Smash Brackets now! It had a great use of both of their abilities and their analyses were some of my favorites particularly how you went over their stories. Great job, guys!

I like how they mentioned Lucas dodging lasers and then completely ignored that later on.

This match up works surprisingly well just because Wario seems like he could be an enemy you encounter in Mother 3.

These characters seem _so_ different and yet this was actually pretty close with both sides being almost evenly matched in the absurdity of their abilities. Bravo.

This was a fun episode, I got to learn so much about lucas that I never knew before and the animation was fun and wacky and just about everything that was covered in research was used in the animation. The only negative is Lucas voice, it does not sound like a child at all. It's also just jarring in general because I'm so used to people using the brawl voice but eh whatever. It's also cool to see an RPG character lose in smash bracket for once.. I thought they would be the smash equivalent of the DC and Marvel from death battle.

You did an amazing job Lucas! Still a winner to me! I am pretty alright with most of the combo's in Mother 3 but there are a few songs where I don't even bother trying to combo. I love the music in Mother 3 so the combo's are mostly easy for me.

I'm always impressed with how much effort goes into these things. Keep up the great work! I think that Lucas analysis might have just made other characters with deep inventories far more difficult to handle.

Great episode! I can't believe how close this fight was. Makes sense that Wario wins since he has what he needs to clinch it more often than not and offense is the best defense in that scenario.

Late comment,why was PSI Counter not used often?- It reflects physical attacks (While also cutting it by 50%) then sends it back,which,maybe can save Lucas a bit from getting hit multiple times. *Also the fact Lucas kept buffing himself* Either way,good video,and amazing fight!

Cool video! Very thorough and I like that it takes into account a bunch of different elements from each game, rather than just going with what they do in Smash. I'm going to respectfully disagree/come up with something to consider about an aspect of the results. Spoilers below to those who didn't finish: So, I think one of the big arguments for Wario was that his win conditions came more consistently than Lucas's more luck-based ones. However, Wario pulled out a lot of power ups and abilities from different games through the fight. Wario gets power ups/vehicles by finding them or usually just has one as the main gimmick for a single game or something. I don't think Wario would typically come to a battle having everything ready on standby. Lucas, on the other hand, has a lot always at his disposal naturally; while he might not always carry something like the honey shower, he will always have the ability to heal, and use PK Love, or offense up, or whatever. Wario COULD find everything he needs and use it, or he might not find anything. Lucas might pick up some life noodles, he might not, but he will always have his psychic abilities. So with that being said, I'd say Lucas is the more consistent one. If we're to assume Wario comes prepared for this scenario with all his power ups, vehicles, and transformations, I think it's also fair to consider the possibility of Lucas just using PK Flash or NYE bombs until they work, which isn't all too unlikely if you use them a few times. Cool fight nonetheless!

Personality and tactics i believe should be the ultimate deciding factor. Not the final factor but just as important.

If you are trying to get Lucas's power by exploring Mr. Genetor's durability... You should know that Mr. Genetor's Max HP is 3333, and the last boss we see to be completely destroyed like Mr. Genetor - N. K. Cyborg, this machine of devil has about 7500 Max HP. And it is also a metal enemy, like Mr. Genetor. So Lucas's endgame strength is about 2 times bigger, which gives Lucas good chances against Wario if Lucas properly uses Offense and Defense Up(each can be used 3 times).

Ok I'm confused, the reason Lucas lost in the fight was because of him getting unlucky with a 5% chance of something happening. I feel like that should be an alternate ending. Also Lucas is able to dodge something moving at the speed of light, yet he can't dodge warioman. You also included wario's best move but completely ignored the new year's bomb. This feels kind of unfair to Lucas. Is there something I'm missing?

I would honestly would say Yoshi would win. He is definitely faster, has more experience and can throw back pretty much anything Banjo could throw at him. Durability is kinda even and they both definitely have ways to counter eachother (both can become Invincible and boost their stats) but Yoshi can do it more so and let's be real, if he can put up with Marios weight and behaviour then there's nothing he can't deal with.

The Magypsies' mementos should have revived Lucas multiple times, and Lucas would have used PK refresh/healing abilities for long enough to realize what strategy he should be using against Wario.

Wow, Wario was kinda heavily nerfed in this fight, but i guess smash bracket rules really unintentionally nerfs characters, but at the same time gives huge advantages to RPG characters since their status effects are treated as actual abilities rather than outliers because pretty much most rpg characters can do that
