My passenger door lock stopped working. Always stayed locked. Fun little job removing all the bits to replace the door lock mechanism. 2nd hand one did the job. I'm having cold start issues. Blowing white smoke and a little bit of blue smoke, I glow the plugs and give it another 5 secs after the light goes out and it usually starts better. Leaning towards glow plugs.... again. It also rattles above 2k rpm until it gets hot so maybe an injector going bad. It also blows a fair bit of soot so also leaning to injectors getting a bit worn. Fuel filter gets changed every 15k. feels a little down on power compared to my dads d40 which is same year and engine. New SCV, New boost control Solenoid, Boost lines replaced, Maf cleaned, Serviced every 6k. getting into aussie winter. really bad to start under 12°c. not even that cold. Battery is healthy, i even have a bypass switch on the alternator so it will charge at 14.5v. 2011 r51 2.5 - 175 000km.

Hi Des, I hope you don’t mind a quick question if you have time to tell me what you think. I have a 2004 D22 diesel, I drove it 1200km, then it would have trouble starting, it would wind over for a long period of time before it would start, then it wouldn’t start at all. I replaced the fuel pump and I got it started again but it’s still taking a long time to start. I have a feeling I’m not bleeding the fuel line properly, the only way I can get it to start is by pumping the primer before turning the key, but then still taking a long time to start. Anyway, thanks for sharing videos, the information in previous videos have helped me out before, take care mate 👍

Hello! Romanian fan here! I want to buy a Nissan Pathfinder 2.5 dci automatic 2006. It seems to have 3 issues: 1. It seems to leak oil on the turbo zone. 2. Doesn’t release smoke but when the engine is on for the 2000-2500 rpm it dies. At the first try (start on) it stops at 500 rpm and it dies. Then it starts again like it has no problem. I didn’t actually drove the car but it seemed suspicious. What do you think? I want to buy it but I don’t know if the issues raised are a red flag or an easy fixable problem. Hi there totally different subject but I have a 2013 navara it's currently at nissan code p1622 the problem they are having is it won't accept new injector codes trying different injectors and ecu reprogram still the same issue have you come across this before thanks in advance

Hi Des, I've got a 2008 pathfinder and basically I have to drive it about 15 miles in the morning before the engine heats up and as you can imagine in the winter it's bloody freezing. My garage has had it for the day and tried all sorts of different stuff but no joy. Any ideas mate?

Hi mate I wonder if you can help me I'm having trouble for my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder it's going into limp mode when you stop at lights or idling below 1000 RPM it will go into a p0089 fault I have replaced the suction control valve and fuel pressure sensor and done an ECU learning reset but no good if you turn the key on off the car will drive fine run perfectly well it's just if you let idle for 30 seconds or more it will go into limp mode no one can figure this out can you help me cheers
