@@MiamiCali706 they really suffered a lot, the other guy got very depressed over it and ended up addicted to drugs and committing suicide. If he'd only waited, he would have been able to see that most so called "singers" today aren't actually singing their music.

In this performance he is miming still 🤣I don't know if he really can sing now and if this is his voice, but he's miming. You can see some small mistakes, and the way his drops the microphone from his lips and keeps singing and the sound is just as clear and loud as before

Also they were physically attacked and humiliated for doing something many would nowadays consider normal, the charge did not fit the crime is what I'm saying.

This was making me smile so much but then halfway through it started to make me cry😢 I hate all the pain that they had to go through with one of them taking their lives. He can sing but not as good as what the studio song was engineered. Obviously there is nobody out there that can actually sing like the studio song.

@@bighands69 you're right, not even the studio singers can sing this live like they do in the studio version Charles Shaw (the original rapper) sounds completely different when he performs this track nowadays.. he even re-recorded the track in 2000, doesn't have any resemblance with the original. The studio arrangements make the final product sound perfect, which is why it sounds so good and clean. Obviously they try to do something similar when they're live but it's not always possible without the studio effects

@@mike1411 yes, it is his voice. but this is a pre recorded song.bcz there are some lip syncing fails on this too. 3:20 pay attention to his mouth.he says "okay"but no sound.and "i'm in love with you"part his sound has to be different.his pre recorded voice have a good energy.but in that part, there are not that much energy come out from his mouth

Because training them would have taken him too much time I suppose. They were immigrants with a thick accent, he already had the voices but was lacking the visuals so I'm guessing he just wanted to start the project right away.

They actually couldn't sing back then. They worked very hard to learn to sing and he pulled it off after Milli Vanilli. So nice to see him on stage doing it right and his way.

Mike S totally agree, to be honest the fans didn’t really care because they were dropping good music, they were the face of MV whilst the backing vocalists were the voice. The media blew it out of proportion.

It's so joyful that even through everything that he went through behind these records he became a great singer and still performs the same songs that brought such a dark time in his life. A great way to show that even in darkness light will still shine through.

I watched another documentary on it and in the beginning of their career they couldn’t sing well. One of them could sort of sing and the other’s accent was so heavy it didn’t sound anything like what we know, but it’s all about money that industry.

ver este video sabiendo que Rob fallecio en 1998 victima de una sobredosis por tantas depresiones que vivia por todo lo sucedido, me hizo llorar, primero porque él pudo estar aqui cantando junto a su amigo, con su propia voz y deleitandonos como siempre, y segundo, por la emocion de ver a Fab levantarse en el escenario a cantar y bailar con orgullo.. y la respuesta del público... His ability to pull himself from the rubble and become a "real" and full performer is impressive. There's a YT video that talks about how he and Rob tried to learn to sing decades ago, but it was very difficult due to the language barrier. Plus, he deserves some extra recognition for those moves @<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="261">4:21</a>, considering he was about 52 at the time!

He may have sung this performance but it's clearly been touched up in the studio. He wasn't good enough to have his vocals recorded then and I'm certain he isn't much of a singer now.

Joshua Garbe it wasn’t that they weren’t good singers. They were decent singers. At the time they had a very thick German accent and the producer didn’t want to use their voice because of that. He also thought they didn’t sing well but he never gave them a chance to prove themselves.
