Good to see you back out and about and enjoying the trains. I went through Wembley yard on my way to Stafford on LNWR but the train was too busy for me to film anything and couldn't capture the HSTs, CS and DCR 60 there

Hi Peter, believe this is the case - A long-standing and recurring problem in the rail industry, wheel flats can cause extensive damage and trigger safety-related events if undetected. They are caused by slippage between the wheel and rail that usually occurs during braking as the required friction is reduced. The faster wheel flats are detected, the easier it is to limit damage to wheel bearings, axles, and additional infrastructure such as rails and sleepers. HTH thankyou, David
