I’m so glad I subscribed to this channel. So when he’s in a car magazine or news article for swapping a Cummins in a EcoBoost mustang I can say I was watching it happen every step of the way. Westen When I was a kid we had a fuel thief. He kept robbing the fuel out of neighbors rv. So my dad swapped the fuel and sewage labels on the tanks. And the cops fallowed the trail of vomit for 4 blocks.

@@hugolafhugolaf he was using his mouth to siphon fuel from the tank Into a can. When his dad swapped the labels, the thief got a mouth full of sewage instead of fuel. Makes perfect sense if you're capable of thinking.

6:28 so basically you have 2 bolts holding the entire engine onto the frame

Yup....just like the factory uses 2 bolts to hold the engine to the frame. His are vertical, factory is horizontal.

It looks to me that the plates are bolted to the old mounts and the bolt each side goes through the rubber mounts and he has the rear mount to on the transmission. Thats pretty well how the motors mounted in the truck I just sent 5.9 Cummins rubber mounts to a friend in Australia for a GMC gas to a Cummins conversion. The factory rubber mounts just have 2, 1/2" studs for nuts on steel washers top and bottom bonded to something that looks like a hockey puck and it stays together. His mounts will be fine as long as he thread locks the center bolt tight or the nut is self locking he welded under the mount. He'll probably wreck something else with the power/torque before that motor rips the mounts clean off.

It's gonna be fine, my med duty truck has a 700lb transmission hanging off the back of a 12 valve with no crossmember or mounts of any kind. Ki da freaks me out too, but never heard of only problems.

2 bolts holds the same engine in a truck so it should be plenty
