In this video I smoked a Pork Butt on my pit boss Austin xl. I smoked it at 200 degrees using cherry pellets for 8.5 hours. Then wrapped it with apple cider for 2 hours. I let it rest at room temperature for 3 hours. Shred it up and enjoy!

Hahaha thanks bro. You don't even know how much footage I cut out when I edit the ending lol. I take like 10 bites and just ramble on the whole time. I usually only include a couple bites. Haha.

I followed this exactly today, but I wrapped it in a towel and put it in a cooler because I had to hold it for 6 hours...but this was absolutely delicious. I've done your ribs too. You're my favorite smoker to watch on KZfaq! You should do a pizza😁 I'm gonna use pork leftovers for a pulled pork pizza

That's awesome so glad it turned out great! Yeah if you ever have to hold it long that's a good idea. Sometimes I'll turn my smoker on to 180 the low smoke mode and just let it stay at that temp for a few hours and then take it out to rest. There's ways you can mess with the times to get it all worked out

I've done a chicken pizza before on my channel. The dough recipe wasn't the greatest. I'm not a dough guy. My wife does sourdough pizza crust and it's amazing. But I'll take the recommendation and try it in the future

I wish you were too. I try giving my bbq to my neighbors sometimes when I have too much. They say no. They never even had it before lol. The only neighbor who did take my extras moved. I have some family and friends that are smart tho lol

Looks awesome, will definitely have to try this! Maybe in the future you could go into more detail about the flavor of the pork butt or whatever you’re smoking? I feel like “it’s pretty good” doesn’t give that bbg justice! Just my two cents.

Noted. Thanks for the feedback! It is worth trying forsure. Just throw the meat on and go to sleep lol! Gotta love pellet grills. You sacrifice on the smoke on it but the ease makes it worth it sometimes.

Thanks bro! What about them if I may ask? We've been trying our best to improve things here and there. If you watch my first video until this one you would laugh! I had no clue what I was doing. The sad thing about that is before I started this channel I had another one where I posted about 50 videos lol. I've come a long way. Thanks for the encouragement!

I mean you can't get much better than what you're doing now lol I've seen every video you've done man and yes you have come such a long way from there!! Next big smoke i do im gonna use your home made rub!!

@@brandoncarroll8000 awesome! I would only recommend that rub for pork or chicken. Beef needs different elements in it. Let me know how you like it! I am always changing my recipies. I constantly tweak my rub recipes. Trying to find the one that's worth a million bucks! I would love to sell them one day. What do you think about fat and happy being my rub and sauce brand? I say it a lot in my videos thought it would be funny if I branded that lol

I want to make this Sunday! How big was your pork butt? I'm planning on using a 4-5 lbs pork butt and am wondering how I should adjust the times. Loveeee your recipes!
@Nicks-BBQ
@Nicks-BBQ Ай бұрын
Have you found any that small? I've always gone to Sam's club, costco, gfs. They're always around 6-10 pounds. Usually always on the heavier side. The times will be shorter the less pounds it is. I would never go by time though. I would smoke one that small at a lower temp and use a good probe. When it hits around 170ish wrap it up and still pull it out when it's over 200 and really tender. Still rest for several hours. In a cooler preferably. Hope this helps

@Nicks-BBQ thanks so much! I'm going to check aldi (on their website it says they're around 4.5 lbs). And I more so meant would it be safe to smoke one that small overnight. I didn't want to wake up to a brick 🤣. I'll probably just get a bigger one tho and have leftovers!
