On selling and giving away animals on craigslist: never, EVER give animals away for free, especially cats and small dogs. These two types of animals are frequently used as bait animals for dogfighting rings, meaning that they'll probably end up being mortally wounded and left to die with no vet care or euthanasia. It's an absolutely horrible, vile practice, but it's unfortunately still a thing in the U.S. (this is also why you should avoid giving away "bully breed" puppies like pitties and mastiffs). A good, loving home will be willing to put in $25-$100 to get an animal they really want. If they aren't willing to pay an adoption fee, they probably won't be a good home. Don't let them trick you with sob stories and begging. When you adopt a pet, you commit to caring for it for the rest of its life or, if you can't, finding it a good home. If you choose not to spay your female animal, you make the same commitment to her babies. If you can't keep a dog or cat (or any animal) anymore for financial reasons, try to rehome it to a family member or friend, or surrender it to a shelter, or at least put a fee on it (dogfighters and other abusers look for free animals).

Name for the anaconda could be "AMARUN." (AH-mah-roon). When I studied abroad in Ecuador for a tropical forest ecology class, I did my final project on the green anaconda. Amarun is the word for anaconda in Kichwa, which is one of the indigenous languages of the Amazon :) I am not Kichwa or part of that community so I would do some research to double check pronunciation and all that. There are interesting folk stories about anacondas in Ecuador! Some other fun Kichwa words I learned (that could be names): yaku (yah-koo) = water Chicha (chee-chah) = traditional beer Sapu (sah-poo) = frog siki (see-key) = butt sacha (sah-chah) = forest iyarina (ee-yah-ree-nah) = memory/thought/love

My fave in this video is the gray tree frog. I used to live in MN and I had a couple find their way into our home. I put them in a 20 gallon long sat up on it's side so it was taller and after a few days of watching them and listening to their amazing mating call I let them go. I so badly miss that sound.
