@@yoonmikim5663 He only buys ones they're prepared to take on. And usually, they mention that they've talked about getting them before. A full enclosure probably won't take a month to make, and a temporary one for quarantine is needed for over a month. I'd say he's okay. Maybe not the greatest thing to do, but he's definitely smart about it

@@cogsandglimmers The original claim was that that he wasn't proactive, though. I didn't say anything about it being wrong. I refuted the claim that he's not proactive. Buying a new animal is pretty active. Sarah Jacob had backfire effect, so really, I was going to leave it. 'cause if you watch those videos and all of them in general, you know he's there the majority of the time, doing things like filming, feeding the reptiles, unboxing, doing joint decisions on buying a new work space, editing the videos (adding the adlibs from the animals--that's definitely him if you figure out his sense of humor), etc. If you profile the workload, they split it evenly.

In full honesty, I can understand why some people might dislike seeing fish get caught and killed but they are going towards feeding carnivorous animals which need meat to survive so it isn't like Emily and Ed were killing animals for the sake of it. They are invasive species and served as food for animals that cannot survive without meat

I was just talking with a neighbor in my apartment complex who has a turtle. He bought feeder fish for the turtle that the turtle never ate. So he just let the fish live in the tank, the fish started breeding and were getting to be too much for the tank. So, he let the fish go in a pond.... I cringed so hard. I asked him if he even knew if they were a native species. He said he didn't know what kind they were, but he thought it was nicer than flushing them down the toilet. I asked why he didn't put them on any site for someone to come take, or look for anyone who would want them at all. He had no reason, just didn't think of it. It's so frustrating how often I hear people do this with fish and turtles.

@@yamiryushi i disagree. Sure, there is a more graceful way to call out bad care, but it is important to bring attention to bad advice, care or role models. Leaving a comment on Brian's videos will just give the KZfaq algorithm the feedback that this video should be recommended to others and will cause other's to leave hateful comments.

@@yamiryushi It is important to acknowledge when people with wide spheres of influence, such as Brian, are not good role models. It is dangerous for people to use his methods of animal care. So I fully support calling him out often, along with anyone else using notoriously bad animal care practices.

@@caitolent I don't follow his care but it was because of him that i got into reptile keeping as pets not breeding.i now absolutely love reptiles and it's all because of him. Is he perfect? No, no one is. Has he made mistakes? Yes, everyone has. But bullying him or anyone is never ok and this hobby is full of bullies. He's done alot for the reptile community so just think about that.

You know im really curious at how much bite force rex actually has due to her poor care before-hand. It would be a cool video idea to explore!!!

This video reminds me of something really sad at an old museum I used to go to. They had 5 baby alligators, all in a tank that was... I would say about 20 gallons. :(

This is the best channel on KZfaq. I love your videos and have watched everyone at least 34 times. Don’t love to pick favorites but the false cober is the cutest snek and they do a heckin bamboozle. Nothing but luck to you on your KZfaq channel I will always watch and you don’t know how much I have learned from you and I love snakes now. I also love lavender hog noses. I love snakes and you will always be my first person to watch if I need more info.

Watching this and the first one reminded me of a book I read when I was a kid. It had to do with keeping a pet Lion. I was 6 when i read and even then my thoughts turned to 'Is it you that's keeping the lion or is the lion keeping you?' lol. I honestly do not remember the name of the book but it made me laugh. Anyways it's funny how horrible the advice was back then for the care and treatment of animals. We've come a long way in that area at least.
