Being a 44-year-old dad that is a massive horror fan, it's funny knowing how "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" has become known to people like my kids. I watched the '78 version in the 90s, when it aired on...I believe MonsterVision, and then saw the original sometime later when I decided to become some kind of horror cinephile. The way my kids, and their generation got introduced to it is the meme of Donald Sutherland doing that ominous pointing. How movies get passed on is so weird to me! 😂 but I'm glad Invasion is being remembered. I also liked "Every which way but Loose" when I was a kid.

Loved Roger's reaction to Clint "shooting" Clyde the orangutan. "Two great actors!".

I’m bummed “Dogs of the week” didn’t stick after 1982. I enjoyed those

“Only four or five good [holiday movies] this season”. They found that disappointing. These days, we’d be lucky if we had one single movie Siskel and Ebert would consider good in an entire year. Perhaps in a decade at this rate.

I don't understand why Disney got caught up in hero rescues princess formulas when their best films featured neither. Pinocchio is easily the best Disney film.

No love for Dumbo? I grew up in the '80s and '90s so I love The Lion King, Aladdin and Dumbo the most. It's true that Disney have a hard time writing stories for young boys, and they stick with the "Princess" model. I already aged out when Hercules came out, but my two boys loved Cars, but yeah, it seems they typically shy away from stories made for young boys usually and that's unfortunate.

@@Smeatbass Dumbo is good. As for their 90's entries, Beauty and The Beast is my favorite. However, I would easily take Pixar's Toy Story and The Incredibles over the affirmetioned Disney "Renaissance" movies. What's especially worth noting is The Incredibles featured a villain with a surprisingly compelling motive.

Painful listening to Roger forcing the laughter here. Took a while for them to get good on this, understandably.
