Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzfaq.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Glad to hear that Fishbrain works on your side of the country, I wasn't too impressed with it here in the Pacific North West the 1st few times I used it but I will check out the free version again. It must be the difference between free w/ads or pay for the upgrade versions. I fish fairly small lakes and enjoy figuring out new lakes. Thanks to you and a handful of other TY fishing channels, I've decided to try bass fishing this season.

One of my tips is when the fish aren't biting or being finicky throw a plastic. Its the most natural looking bait possible( my favorite is the baby brush hog)

I would love to be in that tournament with you. I’ve been a young fisherman since I was 2 and I have been fishing my whole life.i biggest bass is a 7.3 pounder and I can’t wait to catch more. You were the only person that I could count on for my fishing hobbie. I got video of a boat going through a tunnel to fish on a pond. Amazing how he did it. Only works when the water is low. If water rises while on the other side, you're stuck!
