That is my least favorite oil pan design, but unfortunately, ours has that same one. Good to know that I understood the instructions correctly and that the oil level *is* measured with the unit in the upright position (not tipped forward), and with the dipstick unthreaded. Also good to see that there's an oil drain bolt. Just checked, and it's there on ours (the ZE)
