What a gorgeous, phenomenal live version of this masterpiece. I saw the original 2112 tour as a teenager...and Rush became the soundtrack of my life. No band will ever come close to being as individually and collectively musically talented as this band...each a virtuoso on his instrument...and Neal such a lyrical genuis. Neal is the reason I became a drummer...and my soul weeps from him passing away. May you rest in peace Professor....LONG LIVE RUSH !!!!

I love how our fictional hero from 2112 finds a guitar, a thing which he didn't even know existed, and just picks it up and has Alex Lifeson's skills

The Beatles,no. Stones, no. Led Zep, no. Rush, yes, the greatest band of all time hands down.

What can you say about Alex Lifeson? The dude is fucking phenomenal and doesn’t get enough credit. You see that comment on KZfaq a lot. So and so is underrated. In this case it’s true. AL is one of the greatest rock guitar players of all time and he doesn’t get enough credit. From his solos to his chords and rhythm playing. He’s one of the great ones in my eyes.

Alex tears it up here. Such a divine performance, as always. They assumed permanent control long ago.

Whats cool is that only Rush fans get it, like our own private secret. No Neal no Rush, only memories

Every single night, headphones on, in my room, on my bed, this was my soundtrack from 14-18. Nothing like Rush, never will be again.

I heard Closer to the Heart on the radio in 1977. I was 14. I went out to buy the record but they didnt have A Farewell to Kings. They did have 2112. It looked cool but i didnt know what to expect. I bought it. Played it. Changed my fkg life. ♡

When a KZfaq video can produce lasting chills, you know that's one hell of a performance.

So horrible to see they were in incredible shape here, so tight and strong, and in about 40days, Neil's world would shatter under his feet, and theirs along with him, when his daughter died August 10 1997.

40 years ago when i was young, my great friend Mike Felion asked me one night, "do you like Rush"? , with a stupid face i said no, who is Rush? He looked at me with sadness, then anger and then a calmness and a smile...tomorrow i will bring you my favorite Rush Album for you to hear...sure enough he graced me with a copy "2112". He said to me keep it as long as you want, but listen to it and learn to appreciate it's beauty and power....it has been 40 years still the power and the beauty of these boys from toronto still rock my world today. God bless Alex, Geddy and may you be at peace Mr. Peart your words and music still shape my soul and life today......and somewhere in the universe...Mike, THANK YOU! For giving me the gift of RUSH!
Yes, a vocal ANALYSIS of the entire "2112" SAGA! Rush's Opus is on deck!
