@@ojeritoayala Golden Nova Yugioh releases lore dump, but they are not always 100% correct (he corrects himself later if he is wrong tho). It's like Dark Souls lore, you have to speculate on the images. This, until they release the official story in Valuable Books, also known as "Fuck you international community"(only released in Japanese)

I don’t care what anyone says, Branded Despia is a healthy deck because it doesn’t set up any negates/floodgates on its turn natively. You can run a copy of Hex Seal Light to go into Dragoon and a small Shaddoll package to go into Winda, but at worst you’re sitting on a Masquerade in terms of in-archetype

Currently trying to make a Branded Bystial Deck in MD right now. Basically got almost everything aside from a couple of Main Deck URs, Mainly The Bystial Lubelion x3, 1 or 2 Merccourrier, Lost, the 2 Copies of Branded fusion, oh yeah and Basically the whole fXXXing Extra Deck! Does this deck not need hand traps, like ash blossom, Maxx c, infinit imper. Or use of monster reborn, feather duster, raigeki or lightening storm. Cause I have them and I do realize for what I had it would've made it a 50 card deck instead of a 40. What do you recommend for those and should I go 2nd or 1st?

Honestly I know this is a bit controversial but the branded archetype is not that broken. It is extremely vulnerable so bringing out mirror jade is quite difficult

That’s why Branded Lost comes in to play cos it prevents any interruption from spell, trap or monster effects. So I always try and get a branded lost activated when it comes to getting Mirror Jade out

Aluber searches, Tragedy searches and recovers from the GY, the field spell recovers, all of the Albaz dragons except Mirrorjade and Lubellion float into something else, Frightfur Patchwork and Edge Imp search, Ad Libitum recovers, Dramaturge special summons himself, Guardian Chimera pops and draws, Branded In Red recovers and banishes to retrigger their effects on the next turn, and the list goes on and on and _on._ The only way a handtrap is stopping you is if you drew the shittiest hand in existence, and none of the above is healthy for the guy who said it is. Pure Swordsoul is an actual example of a healthy meta deck because at most they have two-three interruptions, whereas Despia has _all_ of that and I haven't even mentioned Dragostapelia, Quaeritis, Double Masquerade, Super Poly and Albaz to steal your monsters and even Snow. Tell me again, how is any of this "healthy"? 🤔

Here’s something stupid I learned: you can’t Called By Mirrorjade’s destruction effect, even if you chain it to the trigger. Why the hell this works this way is beyond me, I guess it’s like DPE were the destruction is actually just the resolution or something

@Lord_of_Casters called by says negate all effects that are active, are gonna be activated and are already activated. Meaning if called by is resolved every effect that apply to the target is negated no matter what. You just can‘t chain it on the destruction itself because the effect doesn‘t activate in the end phase but your cards just getting popped. You just need to called by mirrorjade before his destruction effect goes off.

@Lord_of_Casters yeah like I said. You don‘t need to chain directly on his effect. Example: MJ gets destroyed in main phase 1. now you can wait until the end of main phase 2 to activate called by and prevent the destruction of MJ. If there are other effects going off in the end phase like Albion you can even chain called by on Albion and negate MJ‘s effect because it’s the last thing in the turn to happen before the opponents draw phase. So the information the main commenter got was garbage or he didn‘t explained it precisely enough idk🤷🏾‍♂️

@@VikramShetty The damage step is complicated, so to make things easier, and to prevent something from being nearly impossible to figure out in paper without a judge present, a lot of things will just specify "except during the damage step". Also, that means that if something floats or activates in the damage step, it is easier to resolve, because that stuff needs the help.

I play Albaz Branded in the TCG, so much fun, but I like using Albaz the Ashen with a Dogmatika deck. The extra deck being flooded with Albaz fusions for card search after Dogmatika sacks one of them, and Ashen keeps growing for every monster in the graveyard as long as one of them mentions "Fallen of Albaz". It's fun, it's not meta, but damn it's entertaining when it works lol

Unpopular opinion: Branded was never the best deck. It just won a lot when it first came out because by that point everyone had been playing like 8 months worth of sword soul and they just hopped onto the new deck that came out. 1 Non-target banish isn't broken and doesn't ever stop a turn and the field nuke effect is pure copium. The real best card in branded was always guardian chimera and by extension branded in red. But there are also like 15 hand traps that just stop the spells and then the branded player is just playing edge imp chain beatdown and hoping they don't die before they see another branded fusion.

I feel the same way. Swordsoul and Dragon Link have been better the entire time, but branded is still one of the top 3-5 decks.
