One day after a chemo treatment my husband and laid on our bed . After 1 1/2 years of treatment and 29 years of marriage I think that was the day I knew he wasn't going to make it and this song came on. I laid there quietly singing this to him while I ran my fingers of his now bald head and tried so hard not to cry. But I felt this song down to my soul. To this day when I hear this song I freely cry now. He's been gone for 8 years now God knows I still love and miss that man.

My daughter died 9 months ago. She was 41 and a drug addict but she walk3d out in front of a car and died from the impact. Every time the song " Running up the hill" comes on I turn into a fountain. Blessings and peace to you.❤

Nah the oh-oh-oh's completely ruin the song's crescendo. It was really good up until that point but what makes this song great is how it all crashes into you for the last verse. They just fucked that up.

@@JediMasterZao disagree... the crescendo raises the energy and drives it towards an epic peak that makes this more joyjul than the original, which I LOVE as well... but this one brings me to tears every time I listen, at least once a week...

We lost our daughter on the 8th Sept 2013, she had this tune on her phone incoming calls, we had it played at her funeral, wish I could have had Gary play it in person. Well done Gary you sing it well.

Once it gets to about 4:30 and everything is well and truly flowing, you can just feel the vibe running through Gary - and it doesn't stop for the next few minutes. The true crescendo of this version! That joy in everybodies eyes on stage...!

OMG!! What an arrangement of an already great song. Snow Patrol is great musicians and artists. They are clearly having fun, too. Much more than a "band." The difference between this arrangement and their original is startling, creative, and beautiful. A pleasure to watch and listen. OMG!!

In 2019 this song was noted as the most played song of the 21st century on UK radio, up until that time. That’s really understandable, it’s a superb song, played and sang with passion and this ‘live’ version is every bit as wonderful as any studio recorded song ever produced. Thank you for such a beautiful piece of music.

This is a masterpiece of music. This performance in the Royal Albert Hall is amazing. Thanks so much for this wonderful music. You also can see the enjoyment of the musicians on their faces while they are playing. My best friend, died a couple of weeks ago, he was like a son to me. He was 47 and is now in God's garden. Every day I listen to this song

Had the pleasure of seeing them live twice. The first time at a charity concert at Rock City Notts, they were the last band on after many bands that day and everyone was just expecting four or five numbers, they played their full set and then some. Second time was at Manchester arena right at the front standing, they just captivated everyone. Great band, great songs.
