What is it like living on a canal boat in winter? Spectacular snowy winter Narrowboat journey and I moor up under a sunset sky and watch the 'Cold' full moon rise.
The Journey started here... I once lived in the fast lane of life, happily married of 26 years, with two children. That chapter was suddenly shattered by the sudden loss of my wife to cancer, which led me in to depression and homelessness. Waking up in hospital, after attempting to take my own life, with just a suitcase, kayak and bicycle and no money, I've managed to rise up out of the darkness and find happiness and continue my next chapter.
I'm a self taught film maker, and creating these vlogs, it gives me something to do, share my personal experiences as I continue my journey cruising and living life on the canal. Please do consider supporting my channel below... Thank you Dave

Probably the best narrowboat vid I've seen so far. I can feel the cold which is normally what forces us indoors, but this is an out door adventure, the water is like oil and contrasts amazing against the snow. Great work. I doubt I'll ever own one but it's certainly a great advert for that kind of life.

I had relatives in England that lived on the bay in a boat they made from a WWII Barge. The Barges lasted a long time due to special built hulls. In the 70s they came into money and a passion to build a friggin barge into a boat. My parents kinda laughed at the idea until they saw it. it was my first time in England age 13 or so. You could not tell that beautiful boat had been a barge. The tongue & grove hard wood wood work was done a guy and his wife. His Name was John Lomax is wife was Ehrin. The guy was quite fond of throwing me overboard for fun at times. It was one of most memorable vacations of my childhood.

Reminds me when I lived on my house boat in Scappoose, Oregon. Loved the storms in the winter with my cats and I warming up to my Plainsman wood stove. It was such a simple and pleasant life style.

I've only recently come across your vlogs and I'm really enjoying them so far...very chilled & beautifully shot. I'm giving some serious thought to moving onto the cut in 2021 and I'd be interested in your thoughts as to the challenges you face as a solo boater? Keep up the great work!
