Samantha became famous as a Page 3 girl. One of our papers, The Sun, introduced the Page 3 girl, a topless model which ran from 1970-2015. Sam was only just over 18 when her pictures were published. Her singing career was short, but she remind big in some European countries & India, I think. A few years ago she came out as gay & still pops up on British TV from time to time. One her more famous appearances was doing what is known as The Brit Awards, our version of the Grammys. They broadcasted it live & Sam was presenting it with Mick Fleetwood. Sam is about 5ft 5, Mick over 6 feet! That was silly & then things went wrong & neither are professional presenters. It took a few years before the Brits was done live!

They were slightly unlucky with those BRIT Awards, what’s not always reported is there was an IRA bomb warning in the vicinity that meant many of the guests, nominees and winners were delayed by security, so the whole running order was being made up on the hoof, and the autocue was redundant and they were reduced to having a guy kneeling in front of the stage writing the script on big pieces of card for them to read.

I'm 54 and when that video came out I was in high school and let's just say that all my buddies and I were big fans of her. Obviously not for the music haha! But in time I've grown to appreciate her talent. She fold over 30 million albums and have supported many charities. When she came out in early 2000's as being a lesbian I tought it took a lot of courage because part of her appeal was her look and in your face sexuality in her lyrics. But, her voice and her talent as a live performer is what kept her in the game for so long. She is still touring and sounds as good as ever. She is definitely one of Britain's brightest stars and a fantastic Lady.

In all her hits the backup vocals were performed by the group Full Force. They also helped UTFO, Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam plus they had their own career w/ some big hits. Their biggest hit was Unfaithful. Full Force was R&B w/ some Rap.

I follow her on Instagram, and she's still touring and singing, releasing new songs, and living her best life. I hope she eventually tours Canada 🇨🇦 and comes to Vancouver. I would love to attend that concert. I just love it when a video makes Amber blush! Samantha Fox was the total package of twisted steel and sex appeal. She literally had it all; gorgeous face, fantastic body, incredible moves, and that sexy kittenish voice that drove men absolutely bonkers. All of my male friends in high school, and several of my female friends, had massive crushes on her. I had posters of her on my bedroom. Wall that left very little to the imagination. Even my dad, who only likes old school country, had to stop and stare when he found me watching her video for this song. On top of her impressive body of musical work, Samantha was known as a "page 3 girl" in England. I'll just let y'all Google that!

She was an "inner-page girl" of a British newspaper, nothing silicon about her assets, and she put it to good use (and why not.). To chime in with a bunch of other people... I was also a 15 year old boy when this song came out. I remember all the "sexy" posters that were out there of her, and I definitely owned one or two, lol. I was "in love" with her for 2 years. It probably would have been longer, but then came 1988 and I saw Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly" video and was like "Samantha who?" The '80s had TONS of talented and beautiful rock and pop stars. It was an amazing decade to be a teenage boy! 🤣

I'm so glad you guys reacted to Samantha Fox! I was one of the ones that recommended this song, so I'm happy that you guys liked the song. Definitely check out more of her music. I'd recommend "I Only Wanna Be With You" (which is a cover, but still fun!), "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now", "I Wanna Have Some Fun", "Naughty Girls Need Love", "Deeper", & "I Surrender (To The Spirit Of The Night)". I love a lot of her songs & think she's worth reacting to more. She did 6 studio albums, last one being released in 2005, but she still performs today as well. She's fantastic!

As others have said, first came to fame as a topless model in a uk tabloid newspaper at aged 16. Sam had quite a few hits which are definitely worth checking out. Actually met her after a show a few years back and she is such a warm, friendly, clever lady who was so generous with her time.

Ms. Fox was definitely an 80's heartthrob! (and a Playboy Centerfold, btw!) This song was pretty big, too! I would also recommend "Naughty Girls Need Love Too" and "I Wanna Have Some Fun", both also very big hits of hers.

Samantha Fox is one saucy minx! All of her US hits were just this side of raunchy but they were fun. Touch Me was her first US hit in 1986 and she had two more top 10 hits with Naughty Girls Need Love Too and I Wanna Have Some Fun. Check both of these out.
