I absolutely cannot believe that I just found your channel. What a great idea! You did an awesome job with details and step by step. I searched through other posts to find the recipes. I sat with ALL my tiles this morning and cut them and was only able to peel maybe 10%. The rest are soaking in water now! So many tiles freed up to try the new recipe and be intentional. Subscribed and will be watching many more!

I use a lot of paint skins. Just a tip, if you wet your finger and run it along the crease , it will help lift it.

Thank you for the excellent video, Rhonda! Your glasses are gorgeous. I have liked and subscribed👍 I only had time to watch half of video but will return to finish later today. Perhaps you covered this at the end, but I’m wondering if you don’t mind sharing where you purchase your wine glasses and goblets? They seem high quality. I wound like to find good quality at not too high a price. Thank you!!🙏❤️🙏

Love this and other videos of yours! I’m just venturing into the bloom technique. Your step by step videos are done very well! Thank you for that! I had an idea regarding your left over skins. But them in a blank bezel then top with resin. They would make gorgeous necklaces!! I’ve done that with my Dutch and ring pours, they came out great!! Sorry I’m unable to attach a photo of the necklaces I’ve done. I do have a question, do you know if spraying the tiles with a universal mold release before your pour would help release the skin?
@RhondasTriRRRtistry
@RhondasTriRRRtistry 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! Great idea! I have done necklace, earrings, bracelets and magnets with the skins! As far as the mold release…I’m not really sure on that. My skins come off so east that I haven’t had to try other products. But I have heard from those who have had difficulties that they soak theirs in water for a few minutes and it must help. Maybe try that if your not able to get the skins off as well🤷‍♀️. Thanks again!

When I make my jewelry with the glass cavachons I dip it in the wet paint a lot of times I get the color and the design better than after I let the paint dry and it's one less process to glue the paint skin on

I have tested my glasses in hot soapy water and it doesn’t lift off. It works well and I even tested them by soaking them for 30 minutes in hot water. I have found they do break down in the dishwasher. And yes I do say hand wash only. Thanks for asking.

@RhondasTriRRRtistry
@RhondasTriRRRtistry 2 жыл бұрын
Yea...I haven't "SOLD" any yet...they were for my family. I do however plan to take the lessons learned in this to create 100+ for a fundrasier. It will still be a process but it won't be as much. I would guess $30-40 a pair. I really am not sure what people would pay for them. I may have to ask one of the FB groups. It cost me $2.50/glass then paint would be probably aroun $2...so about $5 for materials. The real time consuming part is drying time. I think I have figured out a real good process. I agree though...doing many at once would be the way to go.

With the resin I would recommend hand washing. Yes I have soaked them for 10 minutes in plain hot water and then an additional 5 minutes is soapy water with Dawn Dish soap. All good no break down. Now I have not tested the dishwasher that is my next test. I’ll let you know once I have completed that test. I will also post the video of the tests soon. Thanks for asking!!!

Hi Rhonda, I"m using my Cricut Maker to cut the circles. The Cricut is expensive, so it wouldn't be of value unless you plan to do MANY of these. However, if you have a friend with a Cricut, maybe she can cut them for you! They come out perfect!

@@RhondasTriRRRtistry I have also had some problems with the 2 skin layers being a bit wavy on some of the edges. I'm going to try to use a brayer (rolling pin) on them when I glue them to see if they will lay flatter. The wavy edges are like your glitter - they can cause some rough edges.

Have you thought about placing the shiny side of freezer paper on the tile and then taping it underneath, that way all you have to do is peel the skin off of the freezer paper that you poured it on and you can reuse the freezer paper again

What is the reason for doing it on the tile rather than a silicone mat? or baking paper? much easier to peel
@RhondasTriRRRtistry
@RhondasTriRRRtistry 2 жыл бұрын
Really a lot of reason. To be able to spin them out and I can produce 20 -30 tiles in a few hours allow them to dry and repeat where the small circle mat I would have I could one produce one it would take two days to dry and could repeat. And to mix a ton of different colors. I really wanted to practice my technique. And I had the tile. I do have a silicone mat under my tile and when it dries I use the skins from that as well. I will try the mat sometime and see but I had so much extra paint from experimenting that I wanted to use up all the different colors and see what colors go well together. Thanks for asking!

You may have already answered this, but how long did you wait after making the bloom before you removed it from the tile?

I will wait anywhere between 24 and 48 hours but I have also peeled them after weeks being in the tile. As long as it is dry you can peel them. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I would not recommend washing in a dishwasher the heat from the drying could breakdown the resin. However I did test them soaking in very hot water for 10 minutes and then again for 5 in soapy hot water (dawn dish soap) for an additional 5 minutes and no problem. No pealing and no coming off. I will have those test in a video soon. Thanks for commenting so I can offer an answer.

WAY too much work, much easier to just dip in the paint
@RhondasTriRRRtistry
@RhondasTriRRRtistry 2 жыл бұрын
Everyone enjoys different challenges and want different results. For me I like it this way over dipping. It is both an enjoyable challenge for perfection. The reason I love doing it this way better is because I can ensure the bloom will be what I want on both sides. And for me dipping can create too much of a mess and muddy the colors.
