In just two days time, Wales and South Africa clash for a historic, unlikely series victory after two tight, compelling test matches. So, time for the first part of a deep dive into the first two tests, as Wales get off to a fly start only for Damien Willemse to break Welsh hearts...

Le Roux absolutely called Biggar's bluff there. It was an incredible bit of rugby awareness and taking advantage of a player not really thinking through his attempt to disrupt. Magnificent

Agreed. I thought, in the moment as I watched it, that Willie absolutely did that on purpose. He saw the hand and passed deliberately to hit it. Sketchy, but so clever it was a thing of beauty.

@@omnihein9322 And yet Elton won us the game against New Zealand last year, played better the whole of last year than Polly and even having the shit game in the first Wales test, was statistically better than Pollard in the second. Pollard's only decent game in recent history was yesterday. So if Elton does not deserve a Bok jersey, what does that say about Pollard? Does he still deserve a Bok jersey given that he has had a single decent game since the RWC final? And despite you being okay with Willie, is he not also destined for the rubbish heap given the poor form he had for most of the RWC and a good portion of last year? As I said, Elton (in this context) is not held to the same set of standards that the rest of the team are held to, he is universally hated so only his poor performances ever count. Not really fair, is it?

@@Karma-qt4ji fwi, I am not a Pollard fan, we need a more consistent flyhalf, we have all the other areas covered but for some reason, modern-day South Africa can't produce consistent flyhalfs like we used to. (Eg, Morne Steyn, say what you want about that guy, but he is mister consistency) Don't get me wrong, I don't like Willie, the last 3 games proved that he can still be an important part of the team, personally I much rather see Kurt Lee at fullback.

@@damiandennis7997 Why? Do you just expect teams to roll over and accept a loss whenever they play tradionally stonger/more successful teams? Wales are a great rugby nation and its their no.1 national sport, just like NZ. I love Wales vs Bok games, only comes 2nd to All Black vs Boks games for me. Long gone are the days of beating teams by cricket scores, and the game is better for it, and will only continue to get more interesting in the future. Even the all conquering AB's arent guaranteed victories against every team anymore, the closeness and unpredictability is what fans want and every sport needs. @@adamtelford4370 Came in from an offside position, lay down on top of the ruck and tried to fiddle with the ball in the ruck. You don't see the entry here but at 14:15 you can see him doing it. It was yet another incident in a trend of Welsh players illegally and intentionally trying to spoil quick ball for SA. Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for Wales, but if you get 4 yellow cards all for professional fouls, and dodge a second one for Biggar (then converted to a red card) for the intentional knock on, perhaps the referee is not solely responsible for the outcome. Wales players playing McCaw rugby without McCaw guile or finesse - never going to end well! Ref was shit, no doubt about that, but he missed the interference in the lineout that led to your first try and he overlooked Jantjies being tackled in the air that led to your second try, plus a list of other things on both sides. Even with him being shit, you gave him the ammunition to punish you with and you paid the ultimate price for that.
