Given how this is Shadow’s debut, I can see his flashbacks being more this pitch when something is giving him an origin story. The higher pitch is gonna sound more innocent then and hopefully lower later in contrast

A part of ourselves were a little disappointed it wasn't Hayden. Such a role like Shadow the Hedgehog would have been huge for his career.

Hayden's voice has gotten a little deeper over the years. He doesn't sound much like how he used to be back in the early to mid 2000's. And yet even in his forties, he *still* would sound like a GREAT Shadow the Hedgehog. *If* the rumors are true, then he will damn well study his role. After all, he's no stranger to playing brooding characters struggling with their inner darkness.

I just Googled Sonic 3 and brought up the cast list...his name is there...but when I was looking at the cast list like on Wikipedia and IMBd...no mention of his name to be seen...not sure what that means but hopefully, maybe by summer or possibly late spring, we may get our answer...and hopefully a trailer to go along with it.

It isn't fully representative of how Hayden would sound as Shadow, because his voice is slightly deeper and rougher now compared to when he played Anakin. So actually he would likely sound even better as Shadow nowadays due to that.

Okay, I might be the outlier here, but I don’t know if Hayden’s voice quite fits Shadow. HOWEVER, the voice lines do! Especially the ones talking about how he’s becoming more powerful to protect Maria, and that he can’t live without her. And THIS 1:02 he sounds so vulnerable here, like he’s only just realized what he’s done. Cross-referencing Shadow’s story with Anakin’s fits in some terrifying ways, and I love it!

Y’know, watching Shadow The Hedgehog in this great and detailed fan art and hearing Hayden Christensen’s voice lip sync with Shadow’s voice seems to really grow on me. I’d be fine with Hayden being cast as our fan favorite “Ultimate Life Form” but he better study this character well ! My fancast for his voice is still Keanu Reeves!

Dude, Anakin is kinda like shadow, both fight for a girl they love (Padme and Maria) both worked for a greater evil at one point (Palpatine and Black doom) and both fight a hero of a generation after thiers (Luke Skywalker and Sonic the Hedgehog)

For me, Hayden sounds great enough to be Shadow, this parts fit perfectly for Shadow this sounds like a conversation that Shadow and Mari would accurately have 0:04 , 0:28 and if you just in your head imagine him say Maria instead of Padme it perfectly fits 0:32, and 1:19
