I kind of suspect that there's going to be some kind of way for white to guarantee a win in the first several moves of the game with optimal play (or at least put black into such an obviously disadvantaged position that there's no coming back from) - it feels like white starts the game super close to a checkmate and that if they don't misplay it black will always be forced to make really awkward plays to prevent it until it becomes impossible to do anything that isn't awful for black. I think freezing centered on black's queen on turn 1 might actually be overpowered - if you can't move any of those pieces on turn 1 then black has to spend a turn moving pieces that don't actually put it any closer to threatening white, and the king stays in a position where it can't move in any direction, which is really scary when the opponent can jump over pieces.

protip: only use spells for threatening checkmate or defending from it even winning a queen might not be worth it as having a spell advantage can force trading spells with the enemy to eventually use them for a mate without a counterspell to defend
@PorkerChop8 ай бұрын

Often. a newer player will try the spell chess early mate, and end up hanging their queen. You simply block the initial bishop attack with a pawn preemptively and they will often still try to atrack with a queen. Then you use jump on the pawn in front of your rook and take the queen and they resign.
