Just speeding up/slowing down parts of the vocals would’ve helped. I don’t t even mind if the flow doesn’t 100% fits the beat, hence why Im conflicted with the song. Like I dunno the music term for it but I enjoy it when a song has weird contrasting tempos that somehow works, usually in math rock and jazz music. Swinging I guess? I think Trap vocalists do that too? I kinda like it here in 1000 bullets. I love Auto Modellista. I have newfound appreciation of it being the most Y2K Aesthetic game. Not just with the UI elements, but the OST with its use of breakbeats, dj scratches, and FLANGY guitars. The car selection is representative of the era. Even the cell shading is so 2000s to me, with cell shading being new, and they tend to have like bright contrasting colors with THICC outlines, like how cartoons and anime looked at the time.

@@beat-man5167 Yeah I dig how it sounds in 10k bullets too, even though it probably isn't intentional. Kinda reminds me of rappers like E-40, Blueface, or Big Boi from Outkast, who often trail off the beat only to land back on it again at the end of a bar. Twinkly math rock riffs will often do that too, cuz they stuff more notes in the rif then what would usually fit. I dunno if there is a straight up term for it. There's "syncopation" which typically refers to bits of a rhythm that fall slightly off the grid to make shit funkier, but I dunno if that would apply to a whole verse or rif. I also still need to play Auto Modellista, but there's so many cool japanese racers and I only have so much time :(

Solid 7/10 imo. I applauded the devs on experimenting, although I personally wholeheartedly disagree/don't like with the approaches/directions the studio takes for the combat system. Dang . . . . I really hope the studio make Darksiders 4 for Strife (if they even got the approval & budgets tbh) to be hardcore action bullet time shooter instead of another mundane cover based 3rd person shooter . . . . .

It might be from a sample pack. If entire guitar riffs from games like Tekken 3 can come from a sample library, then maybe they have those for rap verses too. I know games like Danganronpa use vocal samples that I've heard in loads of other games as well, like Tekken 4 & 5, and sone of the Yakuza games. Composers be like that sometimes.
