Good video. In my 70's so I find the older vans more 'warm' and 'homely' and comfortable. Some of the new models feel like your sitting in a doctors surgery.

My dream van would be gasless, with Lithium batteries, an Inverter, 2 burner Induction hob and Solar. No oven, decent sized fridge with small freezer section, removable table or Lagun table. A roomy lounge area, with at least one side facing sofa, good sized windows and a decent sized garage for two ebikes. I'd also want cloth fabric upholstery and a diesel heater with a (Bobil) hot water heat exchanger. I like the new style bathrooms with the moveable wall for the shower so the bathroom doesn't take up too much room. I've seen a few that match this including the Wingamm with bunk beds at the back, the bottom bunk comes out to create a big garage. There are a couple of Burstners and a Benimar that also tick all the boxes - so just need that elusive Lotto win to make the dream a reality.

I was chatting to a man in withernsea very recently. He had just bought a swift motorhome for 83k. Says he will only keep it 18 months maximum. Not happy with it at all. Poor build quality ( his opinion). Those adria active campers have significantly come down in price which tells me they were not selling. If i had 83k for a campervan/motorhome i would seriously look at a low mileage well kept hymer/burstner/rapido around the mid/late 2000s with good service history. Rather than the production line British factory units that are built to a cost and x amount of production line time slots. I regularly hear of quality control mishaps. And why are these problems not picked up in QC after all thats what a customer is charged for in the P.D.I fee !!

I’ve never owned a motorhome but am a tent camper, 6 metre Bell tent. If I had a windfall my ideal motorhome would have a transverse bed, to save on length, a separate shower, a full hob/oven/grill, Alde water central heating and be an A class body with rear wheel drive.

i am like you my mothers house was sold and it got £150,000 between 3 lads but she has gone in a home but nobody can get it until she dies , i would love to get a camper because i am on benefits i can not aford one yet ,but i love seeing what you put on ,would love to see what you can buy for £30/40,000 in camper van .

Cant believe the prices of Campervans. Motorhomes yes.
