I’m 17 and I’m trying hard to be one of the best fishermen around. I’ve learned more about all styles, tactics, lures, tackle, literally every single bit of knowledge I can fit in my head for fishing. The point is that I really want get better at this always and TRF has been one of if not the most helpful and supportive channels that I have ever seen. I appreciate all the help and good luck to every young angler out there! Also I randomly found one of the oldest TRF videos and he has literally not changed at all, 9 yrs ago video and he just is a kid version of him now doing the same exact explanations it’s crazy!

I could never do fishing as a job. Fishing is an escape and as such for me whatever happens, happens, I just like being outside and if I catch fish it’s a bonus. To transition to the thought I have to catch fish would be tough.

Great video Tyler… as a lifelong bass fisherman I’ve gotten into tourneys the last few years. I’ve choose BFL CO’s because it’s cheap and I want the challenge of catching behind someone else. It really is a great option for guys that don’t have a tourney boat.

so rigth now I am in high school and bass has a ga division so we fish the ga lakes and i know that fl and sc has one too and the ghsa has a trail set up by the mlf

Really like Wheelers background, expessially being a Hoosier native. In Indiana it is really hard to get into any big tournaments unless it's Geist, Patoka, Brookville, and Monroe. There are so many clubs that just fish smaller lakes for fun and not really a competitive standpoint.

Yes, but it changes practically every year. BPT used to have no entry fee, then it was $5,000 per event, now it’s around $3,000. Elite Series has stayed around $5,000

Well sometimes you get a good boater and the tournament would be awesome and other times you would get a bad boater that was so bad you would want to jump ship maybe I just got more bad than others and then when we had our regional on pick wick instead of having it on a more neutral lake the locals always killed those tournaments this the reason I’m not fishing the BFL’s anymore

Already found so many things that was wrong in his video one lake of the Ozark is in Missouri Grand lake is in Oklahoma but BFL's does have a two-day tournament it's after they fish the four qualifiers the 5th tournament before the regionals and wildcard qualify for the All-American and he missed a step the TBF is before the BFL Also the ABA (American Bass Anglers tournament trail) is a-division of Bassmasters and the winner of the Ray Scott championship qualifiers for the Bassmasters Classic. Y'all fishing bass tournaments ain't that hard I would say the start out with a team trail event for a local club event first before stepping into Pro-Am fishing tournaments like the TBF BFl ABA open Toyota series Bassmasters open. Also if you do fish those types of tournaments fish as a co-angler to learn the lakes before taking your next up as a boater/pro.
