I have been soaping for a few short months. My boyfriend lives in the US and I am in Canada. I flew to see him during this pandemic and had to quarantine on return. For the entire 2 weeks, i binged on your videos. Not sure how I came across you, as I never even gave soaping a thought, but I am so glad I did. I want to thank you both so much for being so interactive and consistent. I have become obsessed with soaping and I want to start my own business but I am discouraged and dont even know where to start, as the legalities of cosmetics and the CNF is discouraging me. You are my go to for soaping tips, and confidence. Thank you so much for all you do for your customers and viewers.

Thank you Jerika for sharing and being so open. I’ve been watching you and Bramble berry for awhile now I want to say a couple of years. I finally purchased supplies to make my own soaps and lip balms…. I’ve been wanting to do this for years but have worried about the money to start up and finding the time to keep it up.. I think for right now it’s going to be a hobby where I start out by gifting my friends and family what I make. I’m so excited for this new hobby though and I really enjoy seeing yours and Cale’s journey ❤. Hope you guys are blessed even more in the new year! ❤

Just love you guys!! This was so helpful. I am a newbie to the soaping world. Which is amazing by the way. I had enrolled in a haircare/skincare program online. Good chunk of change that I feel I am wasting. I have learned soooo much more from people like you and Keely (Soy and Shea) Lisa (I Dream in Soap) and Chantine (Soap and Clay) than I have in these online classes. I appreciate you to the moon 🌙🌚 thank you for being real.

Jerika, I love the little teasers you have at the beginning of each of your videos, but the one for this video REALLY caught my attention! I was also living in Incheon, South Korea at the time you and Cale were there. Which city did you live in? How long did you stay there? Did you teach in a public school or an academy? Not sure if you follow Keeley from Soy & Shea, but a dear Australian friend of mine from my time in Korea actually was able to visit her booth several months ago. I love seeing the overlap between these two parts of my life and that we have this in common. 축하합니다! Congratulations on 40k subscribers! and thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! 감사합니다

The Little Juniper Soapery . Love your videos! Thank you so so much for sharing! I’ve been in business for over a year now. It is slow going but I love it so much I just keep going. Creating product for others is such a joy for me. I’m slowly starting to do markets as covid in Edmonton Alberta has held me back somewhat. I’m hoping by next summer to do many more then this year as well as start a KZfaq channel. The only thing that holds be back is the video editing. I’m struggling with it right now 😞 If you are able to do a video or even share some information on editing videos that would be so wonderful! Thank you again, you guys are awesome 👏❤️🥰🙂👍

Hi Jerika, I totally understand what you say about being self-taught (this is called being an 'autodidact' if you want to be fancy). I am right there with you, It's about absorbing and importantly, synthesising, information until you understand the chemistry that goes on. Cooking is essentially chemistry and formulating bath and body products is much the same thing. It is about understanding your ingredients, what they do and then experimenting.

I have been asked for 9 years now if I would open a store front, my candle barn in my front yard has been so convenient for me over the years. I have never had a customer yet have a problem with coming to pick up or place orders at my candle barn. Honestly I think my customers enjoy coming to the candle barn because of if those walls could talk, I think it has built great customer relationships over the years. But I do need a bigger candle barn and have needed one for about 6 years now.

Hi I just came across your channel and I am loving it. You are very awesome and I appreciate how kind you are to share your knowledge and helping people learn. Please, could you tell me or make a video about How to collect sales tax as an Online seller since customers will be purchasing from other states in USA apart from my state. I do Not know how a good software to use. I found out from the CPA here and all they said was you have to go to each state to pay any tax you collect from customer shopping from other states. Also, it's hard to know the exact sales tax to collect if customer shops from another states

Jerika, have you ever made a batch of soap that was a flop? Were you able to salvage it, perhaps re-batch as a hot process? Since, I’m asking... in one of your videos, Cale mentioned that he has Type 1. Are the Canadian costs expensive for his medication or is this covered by the national government insurance? Love, love, love your videos!! I have learned so much.

Hi Brenda!!!! Yes!!! I’ve made several failed batches lol! I’ve only salvaged 1: it was a rose soap that instantly seized. I was able to throw it in the crock pot and rebatch it. For all the other failed batches, I don’t bother. It’s in the bin it goes 😔.
