I just want to say Thank You so much for the information you have provided in your videos. My husband was able to receive benefits within a year of filing for SSDI. We/He followed many of the suggestions and they worked! Especially what/how to explain what certain medications do to you and how you are not able to function at work. Or how to describe your disability and key words to use! Excellent videos!

I love your video's. I waited 3 years in Palm Beach County for my hearing in 2018. 3 back surgeries with 2 fusions. I won on grid rules (50 yr) and my psychiatrist saying I had agoraphobia. I filed for my lower spine. Not psychological issues. Crazy how it works . Edit, Go to all DR appointments. The more the better

The grid rules helped me greatly. I applied in Dec '23 and stated my onset date as Feb of '23, when all of my Dx came into play. They only approved me from the day before my 55th birthday, which was also this past Dec. Even though I didn't qualify for back pay, I'm just pleased I was able to get an approval on my first try, and in only 4 months.

Thanks for doing this updated video Mr. Ginsberg. I like these types. Glad to see your doing well. I have been accumulating a bunch of your videos and also medical videos about my various muscularskelatal issues together in a folder here on YT for reference. I have severe left knee issues with the right knee almost their after I tore its meniscus back in 2018. Mild to moderate per the MRI Lumbar issues between L3 -S1, including DDD, central spinal canal stenosis, bi-lateral foraminal stenosis, spondylilithesis and bi lateral carpal tunnel issues. After 25.5 years in a 200,000sqft electrical parts warehouse as a material handler doing med to heavy lifting on my feet on concrete all day, my body had finally said it couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to make it to 34 years with the company. Sighhh. My orthopedic Dr. had told me that I need to put off my replacements for as long as I can, which I did going through injections and draining's over years. He told me once I have a TNR I could not go back to my line of work, which at times also had me pushing 4K-5K reels in our yard or pulling electrical pipe orders. I applied Feb2022 two months shy of turning 54y/o with a onset date of Oct2021. I got the initial denial Dec2022. I'm now going thirteen months in to reconsideration. GED only. No other education, no recent education. I was just fork lift certified. I'm not sure but I think I will qualify under 201.12 or 201.14, if they go back to that age bracket when I first filed. I'm now four months shy of turning 56y/o. I guess it's possible they would then put me in the 201.04 or 201.06 grid. Not sure how that works on the SSA end. I stay in touch with my old long time co workers. I feel bad I had to leave them and my manager when I did. I feel they counted on me a lot. They sometimes ask me....when you coming back?...lol I think they having reliable with great work ethics employee issues. Luv all your videos. Take care

If someone goes to management with something like you are talking about, management will fire that individual within 3 months. I have watched that happen to a lot of people over the years. They put those people in the (problem person) folder

If you are close to 60 and worked a desk job does that go against you? I also have an Associates degree. I assume that will make it harder for me to get disability.

I will be 50 3/10. I was filling my application out online and it wouldn’t let me go any further until I “electronically signed“. The website was acting up. It kept kicking me out and then when I signed and hit submit it submitted my whole application before I finished filling everything out. Now they’re asking for two forms, one is a medical release I believe in the other is all of my doctors/medical information. Should I call my caseworker and talk to her about the “grid rules“ since I didn’t get a chance to fill all of that out ? I have herniated/bulging discs, L4, L5, horrible, sciatica, and just found out I have scoliosis. Thank you for all the advice!!

I don't know if I would qualify for the grid rule or anything. I am 61 years of age . I had applied for reconsideration and was denied just recently. The explanation says that my condition results in some limitations in your ability to perform work related activities as a reward desk clerk (they had my job as a Reward Best Clerk which is incorrect) as normally performed in the national economy. However, these limitations do not prevent you from performing work that I have done in the past. If my condition gets worse and keeps you from working, please contact them to file another application. I don't know how much worse I have to be? So, I just decided to apply for retirement.

Okay...I lost my first entire go round because at the hearing level I was 48..enough said right..actually also did not have a doctor on board willing to stand for me. I did and still do however have extremely detrimental mris that being said fast forward. As of this very second I am 50 and 4 months years old with a neurologist on board that has did my function capacity report given all his notes and even started my prognosis is poor and that in his medical opinion I am totally disabled to work. I also have the medical proof in the form of mris which I meet listing levels. I have a permanent handicap placard. I have my local congressman on board with me as well as an attorney. I have only a G.E.D as far as education and all my past work has been extremely heavy and physically challenging. The reason I am saying all this is because I still have time left on my dli because after my initial hearing loss I had 2 weeks left before it would run out. Naturally my new onset date would be the day after my unfavorable decision which now has been over 2 years and I am at the reconsideration stage which by the way took over a year just to get assigned an adjudicator. As of right now I am eligible for a little over 2 years backpay and that's even after they take 5 months of my hard earned money away..I genuinely have a question for you and if you could please respond it would be greatly appreciated. My question is simply this..being in the reconsideration stage with everything ii just mentioned above and it is 100 percent accurate...do you for see me winning at this stage because of the grid rules..or do you think they will drag it out to another hearing level which could be God knows how long. I really hope you atleast get to give me an opinion on this. Thanks
