Lisl Steiner, the star our new What’s Underneath episode, has photographed everyone from Kennedy to Castro. She's an 88-year-old treasure (really, she’s 87, but she adds a year because she doesn’t want to be younger) with the style of no style and a hilariously poignant outlook on her own experiences and on the bullshit swamping our culture. Whether it’s losing her virginity at 23, her experience with breast cancer, or her honest acceptance of death (she facilitated her suffering husband’s death at 88 and plans to exit gracefully herself), no topic is out of bounds for this ageless spirit.
For a journey that’s all about not giving a fuck, watch Lisl in this episode of the What’s Underneath Project!
