I have a great hack for SN..while shopping for clothes, lift up the hanger and shake it. If the material wiggles and bounces it will flatter you. If it just jerks slightly it's too stiff and will look bulky. Also diagonals are your bff

@@olagerta8199 yeah.stiff and tailored and geometric. I had a bunch of those I bought cause I had to work a serious office job and they don't fit m ate all. I look like spongebob. On a dramatic narrow frame they'd be chefs kiss

Print scarves are our friend! It has taken me so long to realise that I cannot wear plain colours, we really need that print or texture.

@@JB-tt6ctI stick with neutrals for my basics, but I use scarves, jackets, and cardigans for print or texture. I have an uneven skin texture; smooth fabrics near my face accentuate the texture of my skin. I try to add some texture or print near my face no matter what else I'm wearing, even in my earrings. A brushed or filigree metal is better than smooth. A shaker knit sweater is great.

I like the idea of plain neutral basics as a uniform thing. So I picked up embroidery to add dimension to my solid colored pieces that I really don’t want to give up.

I wear lots of solids, but they are my colors, not neutrals. Usually a solid top with printed pants, or vice versa.

im an SN but I want to build a capsule or wardrobe staples that I can wear all year long but I don't know where to start to build a bigger wardrobe. I always wear baggy t-shirts and a jogger like trouser with sneakers but I want to elevate it and dress more feminine and stylish.

5:03 yessss! I can’t wait for it to be cool outside enough to wear my boho soft dresses with blazers again. It’s such a fun combination for SN. I hate wearing most pants or jeans so this is a go-to concept year round for the office. lol love wearing some softer dress with chunky boots and a blazer (with the sleeves scrunched or cuffed) and my curly/wavy hair down or swept up in a claw clip and dangly chunky earrings. 😍 Aly, you are so amazing. Thank you for doing what you do.

I hate Jeans or trousers,too. Really hate it. Nothing seems to fit and I always feel less feminine. Need to buy more Dresses and skirts this winter

@@carmentorte6375 ha yes! I feel you. Something about pants/jeans- I don’t know maybe they are just too stiff or something but I end up feeling masculine & chunky vs how I feel in more flowy dresses & skirts which is feminine, elegant, & adorable. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh, I wish I could pull off that layered blazer look! I’m a SN with blunt/broad shoulders, so anything structured around my neck & shoulders - even less structured collars & blazer lapels - tend to make me look heavy. I find that jackets with slouchy shoulders - like loose, cropped bomber jackets - look best on me, but I’d love to get some tips on how you find blazers that are flattering for SNs if you have any.

I think you could but just make sure it's a wiggly liggr material and not a stiff one. Asymmetrical would be great. Also those sleeves that aren't normal but like hands poking out randomly, idk how to describe it,Hogwarts pelerine perhaps

I feel like it depends what type of oversized clothes and the look you’re going for. For street wear, a bulky oversized sweatshirt might be a good look, by going against type the contrast looks edgy. I also like oversized tshirts in light fabrics, tucked in and blouses out, I think t that’s a great sN look. But for classic styling (like how I would dress for work or attending a wedding) oversized wouldn’t be my go to.

Avoid anything that is tight around the waist because our straight midsection will look huge, like being preggo. Also, belts look terrible if you are a short waisted SN.

@@Christine-ws8kq me too but not romantic hourglass. Curve is not always hourglass as in romantic. SN hourglass is not the double curve since the ribcage is too wide.

@@di3486Many have a bottom curve though which gives an hourglass shape. So softly defining the waist is fine
