I watched it in White House, Tennessee and the weather was absolutely perfect. It was the most incredible natural thing I've ever seen. I'll never forget the solar eclipse of 2017.

October 14, 2023 will be our (the whole United States’) next visible annual solar eclipse, and a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 for the US, as well. Looking forward to them both as the one in 2017 was an pretty cool event to see with friends and family.

Those two people in the end of the video talking to Brad Mielke made me think that they packed a lot of things when the girl said 12 hours from the camping area back to where they live in Texas, all of the stuff they packed probably saved them time for when the hurricane happened. Hope they ok.😊😊

@TralfazConstruction
@TralfazConstruction Жыл бұрын
We had the partial too north and east of Philadelphia. There were scattered clouds but the sense of the sky darkening was unmistakable. It felt like being inside an enormous tent. A robin flew down from a tree and hopped around just in front of my feet for 30 seconds or so and it seemed a little disoriented. I'm beginning to think and hope that I'll be around for the eclipse in '24. Best wishes.

Erikk12: We here in southeastern Pennsylvania were in the outer arc. The light changed, it dimmed a bit like dusk had suddenly fallen and it felt much cooler. I was out in our backyard and a robin swooped-in and landed right near my feet. The robin seemed confused as to what was going on and it hopped away; or it went 'bob, bob, bobbin' along'.

Seeing the 2017 total solar eclipse makes me think about daytime to nighttime, from AM to PM on the fastest rate possible. Then from 1 to 2 minutes, at the end of totality, it often goes from nighttime to daytime, from PM to AM on the fastest rate. Good thing we're in Orlando, Florida to see the solar eclipse.

Full turn every 24 hours? Full revolution every 365 days? Listen, if we're using this to teach science, say it how it is: Rotation time: 23 hours, 56 minutes Revolution time: 365.256 days That aside, the shot at @49:50 puts this event into perspective.
@misterspiffy2008
@misterspiffy2008 9 ай бұрын
Agreed, and the assertion that ‘the moon makes a full rotation around the earth every 31 day’s is also incorrect; one rotation around the earth relative to the sun is actually every 29.53 days.

On every account, everyone in totality agrees it is life-altering. You feel so small and it puts a lot of things into perspective, especially if you get wildlife afting strangely around you.
