All of mamamoo’s solo’s just really shows how much talent and character they have individually. Which is probably why as a group their god tier ✨

- Hwasa is actually saying "bich", which means light, and not bitch. It's wordplay and a way to bypass the censors in SK. 😂 She actually wanted bitch to be in the title but grudgingly conceded that the song would not be approved if it had bitch in it. - Lunatic is kind of the mid-point in terms of the story for Moonbyul's 6equence. The album is about all the stages of love and there are two MV's & one story film(Synopsis, G999, and Shutdown) before Lunatic and 2 afterwards(For Me and ddu ddu ddu). Moonbyul really did the most for 6equence! - Wheein left RBW because they failed to agree on re-signing terms. The butterflies are kind of her thing and her nickname is butterfly fairy. In behind the scenes videos it was revealed that Wheein worked with her boss and producers to have the best vocal style for each song. The connection of phrases was a stylistic choice for Make Me Happy and one that was made as a team. In passing Wheein said that she was able to make changes to songs on this album and her little smile spoke volumes about allowing idols to be hands on with their work. - Solar really is gorgeous!! Mamamoo is one of the few groups that let's their fans see them without makeup on and let me tell you that there isn't a huge difference. This comeback she used some contacts that really made her eyes sparkle. Solar isn't one to just show up and be styled any kinda way so we know she was in on the planning of the outfits and hair. I'm most proud of her rapping because she's been wanting to do it for a long time and it was so good.

I think you noticed the “no bra” part in the lyrics and that scene where her dancers are obviously just wearing bras as tops. It’s because Hwasa gets a lot of comments on how she does her makeup and dresses but she especially gets criticisms for often not wearing a bra on stage/day to day. She caused a lot of talk over her stage outfit during MAMA 2018. (Which was referenced in the HIP MV) She gets very personal with her solo music in general. When in reality, solar is trying to do different things in her solos, so she can explore and show all of her sides. She doesn't like being held down to one thing and knows she can do it all, and that's why we have that amazing rap part omg....

Hwasa - She's my bias, Her works is just masterpiece from the MV to the meaning of her song I love that she's using her story to her songs and her wordplays is just out of the world and she's really versatile. Also she is very into her work she's very hands on to her work from outfits, lyrics, concept and dance she's involve in everything Musically wise I love hers the best but everyone is good. Moonbyul - Byul definitely fits for everything from the darkest concept to quirky one she definitely nailed both and can definitely nail everything. I also love the fact that she always participates in all her songs and really think of a good concept. Wheein - It think she is the genius one, She definitely knows her voice and where it will fit. She's really good at those soft songs that still has a vibe on it and her music is just consistently good, She's the type of musician that makes you want to close your eyes to feel her songs at the same time open it so that you won't missed anything she do. Solar - This girl is the unpredictable one, you'll just get surprised that she did something that you didn't expect her to do, she's good at trying things and nailing it also I love the fact that she doesn't stay with one she just keep trying and trying to do any concept that's why when you watch her videos it always felt new.

It's been a while since I saw someone getting into mamamoo and watched them become a solar bias :) I'm not even a solar bias myself but I love watching people freak out over yongsun, she's something else entirely!! Honey is definitely her best track yet, it's smooth and cool but also is super funky and hits hard. She wrote the rap herself and helped compose the song which is bad af. 'I'm a b' was made after 'Maria' which explained her struggles in life and what she had to go through with people hating on her. That first scene in 'I'm a b' is like the ending of 'Maria' but it is if she chose a savage route and because a b*tch after all she had to go through. Hopefully that makes sense

Hwasa's I'm a B is like an alternate ending to her other song, Maria, which showed that what if Maria didn't get a good ending? then she embraces how 'B***' she is as state from her haters because it's no use fighting against it

I love watching you enjoy my favorite groups!!!! My favorite out of these is Solar's! It is so my style! But usually Hwasa's solos are my favorite. All of them are so good though I'm not trying to take anything from the others. Wheein and Moonbyul songs were on repeat and all of their track videos are so freaking good. They all give so much content it's ridiculous. Moonbyul had a really good relay dance for Lunatic. Wheein has the most aesthetically pleasing track videos to her recent album. Gorgeous. In Marìa she talks about and to herself, the lyrics are very deep and show the struggles she went through during her career. That song is extremely meaningful. “I’m a B” is a response to that: she previously showed her vulnerable side while now she says that in order to survive in this industry she needs to become a b***h. The title has a double meaning since “bich” means “light” in korean and is pronounced the same as b***h. It’s wordplay also to avoid being censored in SK. On top of what you've mentioned, the mv is both an alice in wonderland theme (lots of mostly subtle references to scenes from the book or animated movie scattered throughout) as well as her previous solo videos (the tvs you mentioned, as an example, are also used in a scene in her solo debut, "easy") Butterflies and magnolia blossoms are both special symbols to her with a lot of meaning (mostly tied to her mother), but the use of them throughout this video can also be used to symbolize her rebirth at the new agency. And she really does seem reborn there, both happier and doing much more than she has in several years previously Wheein is the biggest r&b fan in the group and you'll hear its influence in much of her solo work that isn't ballads (sometimes in them, too). "Easy", "goodbye" and "water color" are her three previous solos with mvs to them ...don't really have anything to say about solar's new song. Still trying to recover from it. Moonbyul.... like all the other girls, she is strong headed and does what she wants. For years rbw (the common enemy) made her only rap and made people think and even herself, that she isn't a strong vocalist. Which is just wrong. She had lost a lot of confidence because of this and it took her a long time to gain it back and trust herself. For 6equence (album name) she had the concept of a movie, from beginning to end she is taking you through a love story. Lunatic is the part about wanting to break up, but also not being able to let go, hence her going Lunatic. I liked this song but I love a r&b sound and her amazing vocals in shutdown and dudududu, which definitely are my faves from this album.

the title im a b has actually a double meaning, because it sounds really similar to b*tch however its just the letter b spelled in korean characters. It implifies that she is on one hand a confident woman not apologetic to her own behaviour and on the other hand it shows her splitted feelings about herself, she describes herself as crazy aswell.

Every member of Mamamoo is unique and special! 🥰 There’s no “who’s more” between each one. Choosing a bias is just from personal likeness. And in Mamamoo it’s really hard to choose one, it’s super common to have a bias wrecker and it’s also common if a moomoo doesn’t have one because, like I said, it’s too hard to choose 🤣💚 My bias is Solar, bias wrecker Wheein. But I LOVE every each one of the girls! So different and at the same time they complement each other like they were meant for this. For me there’s no better, complete and all rounded group like Mamamoo. In groups, sometimes member/s leave and they keep going. But when a Mamamoo’s member/s aren’t there, they still do a great job, but you can feel the difference, they really balance each other perfectly.

We Moomoos (Mamamoo's fandom) are always winning. When together, Mamamoo has distinct difference from the other girl groups. When going solo, each members have their own distinct personal aesthetics. These four was meant to be. Hwasa and Wheein are best friends and known each other since middle school. They moved to Seoul together to pursue music. Solar and Moon got close after being put in the group. All four of these girls are literally actually friends. When they re together they are loud and chaotic. At 11:59 love what you said because Moonbyul is a master at making sad songs seem like upbeat songs until you read the lyrics. Iljido is a great example of that. She is also the member that comes to comfort fans and distract them the most when things are really bad (like the RBW china controversy) so she is great at hiding her true emotions with a smile. Even Solar, her best friend like to tell her often to just get mad and express her feelings.

I love them all, but upon hearing all of their albums, Wheein's album hits me right. Conveyed her true identity and freedom.

I think "I'm a B" is about taking ownership of the labels Hwasa is given by people who can't handle her just being naturally herself - unconventional, non-conforming and totally unapologetic about it - despite these people pressuring her her to conform more to their idea of what a female kpop artist should look and act like. This attitude really represents all Mamamoo's members, but Hwasa just lives her truth a little louder and more boldly than anyone else. Also, can we talk about Honey? The looks. The rap. The aesthetics. Calling herself Winnie the Pooh. Iconic. Don't get me wrong, the other solos are majestic as well, but Honey is really doing its job coz it's stuck to my brain.

13:48 fun fact about moonbyul: when writting songs about relationships she makes sure to not use any specific set of of pronouns in the lyrics. However this was broken i her recent song shutdown where she used "she" I the lyrics of that love song, the song was greatly appreciated by many fans of her bc it made them feel seen. Other fact about her music is that she has said that she doesn't want there to be a line dividing femenine vs masculine music so thats why she does all types of genre's no matter if they are perceived by the public as more "masculine" you can see that in her other solo "eclipse" that has a really strong beat and concept, with a choreography style more "masculine", away of what the public has associated with girl groups

IDK if someone has already tried to explain Hwasas "I'm a B" but this is what I think the song is about: First of all the song and MV are related to her previus CB (Maria). I personally think in María we see Hwasa struggling with hate and how this hurts her, while trying to be positive (María is self-love anthem) but in this CM we see the other side. In this song we see a lot of oposite termns (life is so beautiful / life is terrible). I think when she sings about life being terrible/boring she's refearing to doing what people espect of idols. Meanwhile, when she talks about life being interesting/beautiful she´s in the mindset of doing things with passion (fire in her heart). I belive the song is she struggling with choosing what to do because both things have negative and positive outcomes, but we all know how she is and what she has chosen. The sentence that really seals the deal for me to believe this is the meaning is "Sorry I have somthing on my mind" (like: sorry but I can't just do what I'm told, becuase I have my own goals that I want to achieve even if this doesn´t align with what people want/expect from me"). This is also why I think she says things like "tell me I'm crazy", etc. I've seen many people confused with the meaning and even tho this is my personal interpretation of the song I hope it helps! :)

The initial scene of 'I'm a B' can be compared to a birth, plus Hwasa has the same dress used in Maria (previous comeback), connecting the two mvs and themes as Maria was like a rebirth to her and the water (another recurring theme) represents life. Basically this mv is an alternative end for Maria mv, here Hwasa embraces her bad side, "If I don't became a bit*h I can't survive" is what Hwasa thought while working on new music and it's the concept of the title track. When she opens the door the scene is like watching inside that box she came out but as you can see everything is black outside instead inside the box is bright because Hwasa bacame the light who swallowed the darkness. As we will see later there are 2 Hwasa, one watching inside the box and one actually inside of it “there’s no light without shadow” as Hwasa said. The whole mv and lyrics are playing with dark and bright, white and black, you can clearly see it in this part “life is so incredible. Even if I go crazy my sin is beautiful” then “life is now so terrible I can’t cry even if I smile”. Her sin is beautiful because she’s doing what she loves, music, but she feels like she’s sinning because she’s ‘mistreating’ herself and the people she loves. This is her guilty pleasure: pushing herself beyond her limits. We can spot flowers in the whole mv, the pictures in the blue room, she’s wrapped under plastic like a flower in a bouquet and in the room with white furnitures, the only touch of color are the flowers…Hwasa loves flowers and her symbol is a flower. Talking about this room, in Maria mv Hwasa wearing a sort of straitjacket was monitored in a white tiles room, she was cornered by pencils (comments) pointing at her…now she’s free standing bold on those white tiles furnitures, this time she has a pencil in her hand and she’s completing a crossword with ‘Hwasa’ and ‘Crazy’. Basically she’s saying I’m crazy, so what? Again with the lyrics ‘In a word I’m out of my mind so far I’m alive’ like she has to go crazy working on music to really live.
