I have had the 7548-7000 since the early 80's (I think 1982-83 but not sure). I was early teenager and now I am 50. Have worn it every single day and used it for diving, swimming and windsurfing every year. I have never had any problems with it what so ever. Totally reliable and precise quartz movement. All parts are original except for the rubber strap and batteries. I just had it serviced and it passed the pressure testing machine (once again). What a great watch .-))

Wow that bracelet is incredible for the 1980s. It even puts Rolex of the 1980s to shame.

Hi Spencer. Do the 7548's use the standard 6309 case or the 6309-7290 ("slim") case? Thanks!

l got a 6309 in 1978 and a 7548-7000 in Oct, 1988. The cases look similar, but unfortunately the 7548 is not a "Turtle" style case. Both cases are very cool, but to my eye the original Turtle is much cooler than the 7548-7000; and incidentally also way cooler that my year old SRP777 Turtle remake.

Hi Spencer, was that version of jubilee bracelet only made for 7548 (quartz diver's generally)? I think that automatic divers 6309 and 7002 have got only rubber strap, but I have read on WUS that later 7002 (200m) was made with steel bracelet. Was it this kind of bracelet? What was/is the ref. number?

It was specifically made for the 7548s, and it wasn't made for long. There are two versions of it too - it was expensive to make, and towards the end of the 7548 run the bracelet was changed so that the inner links were hollow, made of folded sheet steel instead of solid stainless.
