My late father, a WW2 survivor (by the skin of his teeth) stated that there were three classes of soldiery the Germans actively feared and avoided if at all possible; the Scotsmen or the Ladies from Hell; the NZ Maoris for fearless hand-to-hand use of the cold steel and the Ghurkas, for well-known reasons.

I USED TO DO THE SWORD DANCE WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MAN..I TOOK IT VERY SERIOUSLY AND LOVED PERFORMING

Anche io amo la cultura e il folk scozzesi,se hai più di 50 anni ti condivido che ho iniziato a ,10/13 Ann io con la sigla del programma TV per ragazzi "Macintosh,con la gonna scacchi rossi e blu...(1975/78) eppoi grande fan del Celtic Glasgow.Via via mi sono allargato alla storia e folklore Irlandesi ,bretoni asturiani,la NoMans Land insomma...

@@sosolin100 come hai letto prima e alla quale hai risposto,sappi che ho 58 anni e da quando ne avevo 13(sigla TV ragazzi anni 76/78,mi sono talmente innamorato del folk scozzese che da allora non mi ha più lasciato...Ogni volta da ragazzo sognavo di vivere in Scozia e alritmo di cornamuse attraversare glens e lochs...come pure entrare in Edimburgo e Glasgow...assistere alle partite del Celtic.Prima abitavo a Torino e le sere specie invernali e autunnali mi portavano in queste atmosfere Amazing,ora le ho rievocate...ad un esimio cultore come te del folk celtico suggerisco per la Scozia I'aria australian ladies e Flower of Scotland,e per l Irlanda Seaweed e Star of the Country Down (se ricordi questo ultima era il sound presente nello spot per orologi da immersion "immersione made for see degli anni 80 l immagine dello spot era un dirigibile che doppiava Capo Fastnet.Buon proseguimento di relax col folklore irlandese,scozzese o comunque gaelico buon pomeriggio

@@paoloignazzi9920 Non credo di avere familiarità con quel programma televisivo. Ho 65 anni e ho appena acquisito familiarità con la cultura scozzese. Adoro soprattutto la danza, specialmente la danza della spada.
