It's been a long time coming, it was so good to be finally back out wild camping in the woods, practicing bushcraft and eating great food cooked on the campfire.

Found your channel recently, I have been struggling with depression of late and I get out in the woods when I can to try and get some relief from it. Your videos along with ea bushcraft and a couple of others are unknowingly helping me stay connected when I can't get out so I just wanted to say thanks for doing what your doing.

I once got caught out in - 17 with - 7 gear in my hammock. Luckily I had my 4 litre collapsible Nalgene with me. I heated a pot of water, added to some cold water in the Nalgene and put it in the sleeping bag. It kept me toasty warm all night and I had liquid water in the morning for some coffee. Having a light weight hot water container, just in case you need a heat source, is a must for me now. Food for thought, and you don't create waste with those hands warmers.

That bottle of Old Peculier took me back to the mid-70's. A day out with my dear old Mum, took her to the Hill Inn at Chapel-le-Dale in Yorkshire for lunch. She liked a stout so she had half a pint of draught Old P with her meal, said "Oooh that was nice" and had another half for the road. Then sang herself to sleep in the back of the car and slept like a log until we got home.

Just having this conversation with my old man today. We camp on Dartmoor and have been for 25 years.. Now i camp with my own kids but we have been noticing so many fire patches dumped rubbish and even camping gear just wrecked and left behind and it makes me so angry! People have ruined enough of the country so it sickens me that now they are ruining our last places of nature and beauty! Even my 5 and 7 year old know we leave no footprint. Love what your doing man

my favourite part was you cleaning your cutlery. that is one detail that not many other wildcampers show and it's something I wanted to know a bit more because all i've been doing at the moment is carry eco dish soap and a sliced sponge. Same again with the process of covering up your trace. Also, great poem too. actually, the whole video is amazing. can't fault it.

Thanks for showing off a proper campfire; Checking the ground, keeping it small and controlled, and tidying up safely. It's such a shame people who start careless fires or use disposable barbecues give people like you a bad name :( It's natural to want to do stuff like this so I think if instead of banning things we made sure people were educated on the importance of being careful with fire it would go better.
