Oh wow Louise you have certainly taken on a challenge. As someone else said you would have thought they would have left plenty of supplies for you. Hope you dont regret not staying at the air bnb. You could say January has turned into challenge January. I guess with no fridge you now have to rethink what to buy for food. Just as well its cooler weather. I have my daughter living with me whose cat brought in a live cat in the middle of the night that came into my bedroom so 1am i was trying to catch it . What a nightmare. Take care.

Hi Louise, this was a lovely insight as to what you do. Your amazing and take things in your stride. The mouse, I had to remove a baby stoat( dead) from my friends rug. Cats are so funny. The generator needs a bracket to attach it to the wall.or tilt the pallet by placing bricks/ stones under the front and it should stay in place. I wish I had your engery, stay safe and warm. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

When I travel and use Air bnb I bring my own kitchen items that I need often since I ran too many times into situations where basics were missing such as in Greece a wine bottle opener….cmon! …so I feel your spatula and omelette pain 😂

Oh my word! I have a place where you can stay for free. It's not off grid, it has power and water and there are no animals to take care of. It's rural but not remote. It's not easy to heat, but there are piles of firewood. Let me know if you want a more comfortable month!

The adventure is magnificant but at the same time I know how stressful it can be…I want to travel France & sicely for a few months & Galicia north Spain…also for few months…in quest of finding a PERM/ stable space….but I hv no car my license expired in USA…but I know what u do is not 100% smooth….but it looks like u hv ALOT OF SUPPORT I am 50 something networker/ Londoner… …on my own & trying to find my way like what u r doing….but I wd love to hv a buddy / comrade…….fellow female adventurer….I wonder if u know anyone who also is try to do what u r dpoing…maybe another money making project “bring together females who do what u r doing”??????…..anyway…big respect & sending much positive energy to all u do for this 2023 adventure time….

They didn't leave you firewood???? Are you expected to buy your own petrol for the generator? I realize you house sit for free -- no compensation -- but this is ridiculous!!! I have lived in some primitive conditions -- like 4 months in a tent in the Saudi desert -- and you can adapt -- but give some warning. Do you review the property for the house sitting site? I might not be too diplomatic if you do.

Good lord, it isn't hard to have a seperating compost toilet, there is off grid then there is ridiculous, looks like you are stuck in the later. Well you can say it is an adventure! 🤣

The off grid life is some what romantic but reality sets in.. lol.. how long are you planing to be off grid?

Oh and if you are house sitting it is disgraceful that they don't have wood already provided.
