Continuing on my goal of hiking all the trails in the White Mountain National Forest I went out to finish off the the Crawford Path, Mt Clinton Trail, Dry River Trail Cutoff, Crawford Cliff, and the Mizpah Cutoff. I made a fun little loop though it was essentially viewless, it was some good solid wilderness woods walking. Kind of iffy weather on day 1 but the iffy weather kind of set the wilderness vibe so it all worked out.
Trip was about 13 miles total with the road walk and about 4400ft of elevation / descent.

As much as I love money, I would highly suggest giving yourself at least 48 hours before any purchase decision and asking yourself “Do I really need this?”. I hope more times than not, you find yourself saying “I Definitely do NOT need this”. If you find yourself still in need, shop around and find the best deal for your money.
Please note that I am not recommending any of the gear seen in any of my videos. The gear I use is what I have found works best for me at the time period I am using it. I have come to these gear choices through vast levels of trial, error, and experimenting with gear out on trail.
Gear, clothing, footwear, etc. are not one style works for all. Do as much research as you can, try out things in person if able, and make the best informed purchase decision for YOU. Do not buy gear just because it worked for, was showcased by, or recommended by someone on KZfaq

Filming water crossing when hiking solo is some serious dedication to the process. Wow!

Good luck with your redlining in the white mountains. I’m still plugging away at the 52WAV.

Really loving your redlining adventures lately. Those less-used trails can be a slog for sure, but there's nothing like taking the trail less traveled and getting to see wilderness scenery that most folks miss. Thanks for getting your feet wet for us! 😁

I am hoping to do a big loop including the isolation trail and eisenhower trail before winter this year. I really like the wilderness areas. Even without the epic views I still dig it. Also, I dont think my feet have dried since the beginning of the summer haha

Beautiful remote area, but you can still get a Heavenly Donut! And thanks for the spider PSA, I will be sure to let my daughter know before we go. Fearless young woman, except for her arachnihobia.

Ran into you camping along the Dry River. My dog tried stealing your donut. Always enjoy watching your videos and it was nice running into you on the trail.

This whole trip felt like Vermont on the Appalachian Trail. I always joke that I slid down the mud from VT into NH haha

Love your videos Chris ! I’m redlining too and I was just thinking of doing this area next ! Just finished all the bottom half of the RMC trails below Crescent mountain … you feel accomplished because the trails are so short and you just keep seeing new trail signs woohooo I went around in circles doing what I called it the day of nonsense in the rain ha ha ha still loved every minute of those lesser traveled trails though ! Congrats on more redlining miles ! You’re getting a lot done this summer 😊

I was looking at that whole set of trails at one point trying to figure out what the most logical way to do it would be and I still cant figure it out haha

@@ChrisGoesOutdoors I’ve determined there is no figuring out that lower section … I just started at woods path after parking at the town hall and worked my way back towards the car going up ,down ,and all around like a nut 😂. Mossy Glen was nice along with the “ Nepal bridge “ area . Mount Crescent loop is a good winter one with nice views though

Good luck! I had surgery last September and gradually got back up to things. One thing though, even if it's not your knees, if you have knee issues you should ease back in....

Very few people go down into the Dry River. Trails do not get as much attention from trail crew.
