That Kodiak has the secret time machine option! In just 3 hours it can transport you from people living in grass huts and primitive aviation services to modern ATC and paved, level runways! And back! What an amazing aircraft! :-)

How much more interesting than flying around the civilized areas in Central Europe where you have a field at your convenience every 15-20 mins. I'd love to learn some bush piloting down there. Great videos!

When I was a student up in Cairns I used to park on the road you can see at 14:17 and watch the planes fly super close!

Hi Ryan really enjoyed that flight. I have commented previously I did the POM CNS flight in 1989 with PNG Nation Air in a Bandeirante 12 blokes from the BSP Bank all expat Aussies we went down for the Easter weekend as Nation air was one of our customers, It was a night flight with a PNG National Pilot. Great to see POM again from the air my Daughter lives there along with her two daughters and husband. Would love to get back to POM but with COVID it is difficult. Have shared your page with a few of the guys I use to work with in PNG, including their wives who happened to be Air Niugini staff. My daughter & her family are quite religious being active Seven Day Adventist keep up the good work Ryan, Goroka is a nice spot I drove twice from Lae to Hagen and onto Wabag. Blessing to you & your family

I travel to Cairns for work here and there and always keep an eye out for you. I suspect that if people knew you were coming in advance you’d have a sizeable welcoming committee. As always it’s great to ride along; it simply never gets old.

Always fun landing in Cairns (usually the beginning of a Far North Queensland holiday). We flew Brisbane to Cairns return in May for a few nights stay in Port Douglas. A great part of the world.

Your videos are so great to watch. Loved the one to Goroka with all that coffee. Brought back so many memories of Goroka and surrounding areas I had the pleasure to visit twice. Out of curiosity how do you manage the call of nature on the flight to to Cairns? I can only imagine the serenity of those flights. You, your plane and your thoughts. Total bliss I imagine.

yes, I had the seat removed in Moresby to save on 20kgs, so the raft was strapped to the floor

Great video thanks Ryan. I last flew that return route in November 1989 in a B737-200 flying for an airline named Trans European Airways (UK) Limited doing contract work for Air Niugini. Our block time was about 1.30 each way - happy days.
