Thanks to you and this video I now know that there is indeed a OEM sidebag for the Svartpilen 701! Its just going to be hard to get one these days, seems to be completely discontinued..

Thank you! That thing is called Mess Tin, a part of Mess Kit - a collection of silverware and cookware designed for use by military personnel for food and military rations - and you can cook all sorts of stuff, but I usually cook rice with it.

I carry them on all rides. I am a big fan of Svart 701. Crazy light for its power and torque. Single cylinder thump is real and it puts smile on your face every single time. I've been riding for nearly 3 decades since I was a kid, and I honestly can say this bike is one of the funnest I've ever owned.
